This was D-Train's biggest and one of their last hits, released in late 1983. A year earlier they released the #1 club classic, "You're The One For Me". That one went to #13 R&B. "Something's On Your Mind" was a really catchy tune backed by female vocals on the chorus. It's my favorite by D-Train.

Great topic, sorry I missed this a couple yeras ago. I played this as a current back in 2002 on my playlists just because I did not hear this when it was out. The Extended version off the chain! It is one of my favourites, however my number one favourite is "You Are Everything" (1986). "On Your Mind" is one of my most played old school songs on my Ipod today, I love it!
