Easton's first US single, and a huge #1 smash that set her up for over a decade of hitmaking. It's a long way away from her later classics like Sugar Walls, but it's a very catchy song and kind of a classic.
The high note in the bridge is quite impressive.

Not as good as "Long Distance Love Affair," but still a decent entry in her career.

Pretty good, she's had a couple songs I've liked better.

Not as good as "Long Distance Love Affair," but still a decent entry in her career. Otherwise known as "Telephone." :)

This seemed to be everyone's favourite when it was on the radio, even the station formerly known as KQAM 1060 (Urban) gave this some spins. I added this to my Ipod a a couple of months ago.

The original title was "9 to 5," but Dolly Parton had her song out at the same time so they changed the title.

The original title was "9 to 5," but Dolly Parton had her song out at the same time so they changed the title. As it happens, Dolly's song also hit #1 on Billboard. Not the case on R&R - neither hit #1. Dolly peaked at 2, and Sheena spent 3 weeks at #3.

Thanks for the link. I had never seen the video before even though I have heard the song hundreds of times. Didn't she appear on a season of Miami Vice or was that another singer? Anyone remember? I always did like some of her songs.

Yes, Sheena was on Miami Vice. She married Don Johnson's character and then was killed off.

Best Sheena song ever, still puts a smile on my face when I hear it.

Great song!
The song has new life thanks to a viral video of some guy dancing and cleaning to the song.
The song is on iTunes for 69 cents if you get it from the album "80s Party Vol 4"

Very bubbly and a little cheesy, but catchy enough to make it a guilty pleasure

It's catchy enough, but what a lame ass song. I know it was the 80s, but I'm still surprised Sheena would want to sing a song about a woman who sits around all day waiting for her husband to come home.
