Remember this song? The thing that I remember the most about it was the video for it with Moby all in the furs and bling blinging it (before "bling bling" became a household word in America! ). The song was just OK for me, but I never was too crazy about it. It did hit top 15 on pop and top 5 on Alternative.

I loved it. Gwen and Moby sounded great together. I definitely prefered this version to the Moby solo. Interesting how Gwen was featured on two very different types of songs around the same time -- this one and Eve's "Let Me Blow Ya Mind".

I liked it back then mainly due to Gwen, but I honestly don't think I've listened to this song since it fell off the charts.

This song is OK...I kinda got sick of it and I don't really have a desire to listen to it anymore.

It only peaked at #9 on my chart, but it hasn't burned out on me and currently it's Top 3 for songs most influential in my life and I don't exactly know why.

I only remember Gwen licking Moby in the video.
Of Gwen's two collaborations at the time, I much preferred "Let Me Blow Ya Mind."

I love the intro to the song. It's kinda like a light that's flickering on until full brightness is achieved.
This song was awesome. It was probably my second favorite song of spring 2001 (Hanging By A Moment was #1). It was incredibly haunting yet still a catchy dance song. The vocals are top quality, though I couldn't quite make out what they were saying, it didn't matter. Just an excellent example of when all the aspects of a song coming together perfectly.

I like both versions: the one with and the one without Gwen.

Never crazy about it, but I came to appreciate it (mostly for Gwen) after it's decline in popularity

I bought the Play album not too long after hearing "Porcelain", and after hearing the album a few times, "Southside" became an immediate favorite of mine. And I just had a sense that "Southside", without Gwen, would be huge if sent to radio. Of course they later added Gwen in there, the song was even bigger than I expected it to be, and I was right.

I have a friend who hates Gwen Stefani just because he says she ruined this song. I think he's out of his mind. The original was lacking something, and Gwen's part was just what was needed.
Peace, Ben

I didn't like the video, too many references of oral sex.

If any of you guys have watched David Copperfield recently, he uses the Hybrid Remix of the song for one of the illusions.
After hearing it for the first time then, I liked it and searched all over for it... now I'm sick of it! LOL

Eww, that was gross when Gwen licked Moby's head in the vid. I mean come on, was that really necessary?
Great song though. I still listen to it every now and then.

This came out around the time I was listening to pop radio most, so overplay killed the song a bit. Five years later, I love the song again. The first 10 or so seconds is the best part.

Peace, Ben I did hear the original without Gwen and it does suck without her. It wouldn't have nearly been the hit without her.

Prescient video for Gwen, as parody would soon become reality.
Moby's last great single.

Casey Kasem played just this past weekend on AT20. He plays this fairly often. It seems like several times a year, he'll say "coming up, an AT20 extra by Moby" and it will always be this song.
