I saw the thread for "I Don't Mind At All" and it reminded me of Brent Bourgeois (that was one of the hardest names I ever had to spell in my Top 40 notebooks).
Anyway, this was a sappy love song from the summer of 1990. There was also a pill-popping reference in the lryics.

Did anyone call this a "soul" song? I did for a minute, but nonetheless I liked it just as well.

I like it. :)

Yes, I mentioned this song in the "I Don't Mind At All" post. I liked this song quite a lot. My best friend didn't think it was all too hot. I believe this song gets the award for plummeting the most postions after moving up the chart the week before. (R&R) The song went 24-23-37.

No clip found although I do remember this. I like it. KFMN on Kauai plays it once in a while.

Unless you count "Livin' For The Weekend" by the O'Jays, which fell clean off the survey after moving 24-22 the week before. (The chart still went down to 40 back then).

This is a great song that deserved to be a bigger hit.

I have no idea what this guy looks like, but I picture Michael Buble. Another song I'll have to check for on youtube.
