This is an absolute CLASSIC in my eyes. The former temptation singers only significant solo hit, this is really a timeless song. It's an uncredited duet with Siedah Garett, who must be the most unappreciated woman in music, having also had a massive hit with her uncredited duet with Michael Jackson, "I Can't Stop Loving You". She also wrote his hit "Man In The Mirror".
This song was later covered by the M People.

Very strong song. I like this one a lot... I didn't know anyone ever covered it, but I know that Junior MAFIA and TLC both sampled this song.

It's a good song. It's been sampled a million times. I couldn't name all the people that sampled it if I tried.

I like the song a lot, and the M People cover. For some reason, the snog reminds me of a strip club. I agree with Siedah being very underrated.

having also had a massive hit with her uncredited duet with Michael Jackson, "I Can't Stop Loving You". She was not, by any means, uncredited on "I Just Can't Stop Loving You". She was clearly given a credit, the duet was credited to "Michael Jackson Duet With Siedah Garrett".

I remember the M People version. So different to what they'd done previously and what was around in the charts at the time.

The song is okay, I really like it for it's sampling purposes.

I love this. Hit #2 on the R&B chart.
Here's the cheap-ass video:
The Kane Gang covered this in 1988, their version topped the Dance chart.

In her recently released book, Robyn Crawford said Whitney Houston and Jermaine Jackson initially recorded this but Jermaine decided not to put it on his album at which point Dennis Edwards recorded and released it.

I commonly heard this song as 80s gold on WGCI and V103 when I was younger. One of the best 80s R&B songs. Many rap songs, from Eric B and Rakim's "Paid in Full" to the remix of Junior MAFIA's "Get Money" have sampled this song.
