A top 5 hit for this British act. Interestingly, their followup single "China In Your Hand" was a much bigger hit in the UK, hitting #1 and remaining an extremely well-known classic, while this is forgotten. However, in America "China" failed to even chart.
I think I prefer this one but both are great pop songs. Carole Decker had a great, distinctive voice.
You probably know this even if you don't recognise it. It's often used in Adverts.

Excellent song!
I used to think there were two females singing this song, because of the way the vocals are layered.

This song is pure crap! I wasn't all that big of a fan of the song in the first place, but after hearing it every flippin' time I turned on the radio during the summer of 1987 - I'm still burned out on it.
I remember on the June 6 edition of "Dave Sholin's Countdown USA" (and the Rick Dees show the same weekend), this song made the only debut of the week, one of only about three times in as many years that there had only been a single debut on the R&R chart (the others were "Stuck On You" by Lionel Richie in 1984 and "I Think It's Love" by Jermaine Jackson in 1986).

I remember hearing this a lot back in the day, but never knowing who it was until about 5 years ago. Pretty good song, I liked it.

Quintessential 80s excellence for me! I think I enjoy the verses more than the chorus.

I’ve been burnt out on this song for a long time. Never understood the immense love for it.

My all-time favorite song. I have never tired of it (obviously). The bass-line is iconic. I can only imagine that Taylor Swift's "Out of the Woods" was partly inspired by it. The 12" remixes are super fun too! Great lyrics and a chorus from the Gods!

The song's alright. Must had remember hearing the song on the AC/Hot AC stations in my market but didn't know the exact name of the act. Not my all-time favorite 80s AC/pop track but can tolerate it.
