Loved this one and was surprised (at the time) that a song like this could do so well on the pop charts. I also really liked "I'm Already There" (the pop remix) and was surprised that this one didn't cross over and have at least some success other than on the AC chart.
This song spent 6 weeks at #1 on my chart and was the #2 song of 2000.

I like it, but there are more potential country songs that could cross over to pop ("Danced Anyway" ~ Deanna Carter is one great example).

I liked this song. I never really loved it, but it didn't bother me.

I liked this song. I never really loved it, but it didn't bother me. Peaked at #12 on my chart, and was my #93 song of 2000, although it should've lasted longer than it did.

This song is such overblown sap. I can't stand it.

It's OK. I like to see a country song do well at Top 40. It takes up space that might otherwise be occupied by some awful rap song.

This was a wonderful song, but man did it have a ton of remixes...one for country, one for AC, one for Pop, etc. etc. etc.

This song is amazing. Probably one of my fave country songs of all time.

I was head over heels in love when this song first came out. It would end up being only the 2nd country single to top my personal chart. Very sappy and some might consider it cheesy but I still think it's a helluva song

This song spent 6 weeks at #1 on my chart and was the #2 song of 2000. I couldn't agree more! It was also my #2 song of 2000 although it was released to country in 1999. Now I feel that it should've been #1 because #1 of that year for me was Macy Gray's "I Try" which I don't really like anymore. I also agree that the pop remix to IAT was great - I'm surprised it didn't cross over.

This was a wonderful song, but man did it have a ton of remixes...one for country, one for AC, one for Pop, etc. etc. etc. I've only hear two versions - the Captain Mix for Pop (& AC, I thought) and the Country original. What other remixes are there? I would love to get my hands on that too.

There was a version that my CHR station played that was a little more upbeat. Something in between the Captain mix and a dance mix. There was an accoustic version as well.

I hear this so much on radio still. It's a great song, I never switch stations when it comes on.

I also agree that the pop remix to IAT was great - I'm surprised it didn't cross over. It did crossover but didn't go far at all on pop. I LOVED Amazed and still do today! The song peaked at #5 on my chart but spent a LONG time on the chart and so was able to be a top 10 for 2000.

Lonestar is basically one of my favorite country groups (following the Dixie Chicks) this song was simply outstanding... "No News", "You Walked In", "I'm Already There" and "Walking In Memphis" are also incredible tunes

I first heard this in the fall of '99, I think. I was never a big fan of the regular version, but I liked the Captain Mix.

I get Lonestar mixed up with Diamond Rio. To me, they're interchangable -- a faceless country band. Apparently, Casey had the same problem. He got their names flip-flopped on the year-end show of 2001. I didn't notice it but someone else on the board pointed it out. "I'm your imaginary friend."

This will still be played on the radio 20 years from now. Both country and AC. A modern classic.

One of the better country songs, and one of three to make my Top 40 (the others being Goodbye Earl and I'm Already There.) I liked the remix that I think iceboy is talking about -- the "in between the Captain mix and dance mix" one. At first Hits 106 played that, but then they reverted to the Captain mix.

This song had a very interesting UK chart run. It never reached the top 20, but jumped about between 21-40 for MONTHS. I believe it's the biggest selling single ever not to reach the top 20.
