Seeing the topic about the Mummer's Dance reminded me of this hit, the theme from Ally McBeal.
I really liked this song. It was energetic and I really got into it.

Irritating. Vonda comes accross as such a hack too. Instead of making any attempt to make a serious career out of her exposure on 'Ally' she just milked it for as long as she could, and disappeared with the show. Her loss.

Vonda had hits long before this one... Remember the song "Can't We Try"??? It was a huge #1 hit at AC in 1987 by Vonda and Dan Hill... also went top 10 CHR/Pop... So, in reality, "Searchin' My Soul" took her out of the "one-hit wonder" category and gave her a 2nd big hit... I own both of her hits on CD... like them both even today... |
