This was a Top 20 hit at the end of 1980. Very eerie sounding song, although it tends to get stuck in your head and that can get annoying after awhile (IMO)
The name of the group, the Korgis, I always thought sounded like the name of a creature on one of those old Saturday morning science-fiction type programs.

I like this song. Wow, pretty good track selection, with a few personal favorites I've never seen on CD before, like "Just So Lonely" and the single version of the Stars On 45 medley. Of course, then they had to ruin it by including "Walk Like An Egyptian". I may just buy it anyway though.

Boy, Aaron, you sure don't like "Walk Like An Egyptian", do ya? I remember on the old R&R boards, when we were talking about obscure 80s hits, you mentioned how no stations play "Walking Down Your Street" (but let's play the hell out of that annoying "Walk Like An Egyptian!"). I myself don't consider that song worthy of all the airplay it got, but I sure don't hate it as much as I did back in my Freshman year, when it was played on every station on the dial!

Hehe, and to think I actually used to like the song (I bought the single). Then after hearing it countless times, I realized how annoying it really is. Now I have nothing but unbridled hate for "Egyptian". :)

I heard it for the first time ever last week. (I wasn't born yet in '80). It's pretty good.

Everybody Got To Learn Sometime reached #18 on the Hot 100 in the fall of 1980.
It was later covered by Baby D in 1995 in the UK and was called "I Need Your Lovin"

#18 in 1980. You might not recognise the name, but it's been sampled and covered loads. The refrain of "I Need your loving, like the sunshine" has popped up in countless dance songs. Yazz, Baby D and Bob Sinclar have all charted covers in the UK in various forms.

Oh yeah of course! I have this 45. It's pretty hard to find on a CD comp or it was through about mid-late 90s when I stopped trying. You pick some really good obscure (at least here in the US) stuff. Thanks.

Great track, definitely not so obscure anymore though.

Incredibly beautiful song. Probably one of my favourites ever.

That song is gorgeous. If anybody listens to The Lost 45s on WBMX every Sunday, that song is a very popular request. Barry Scott plays it a whole lot. The only reason a lot of us know the song is because of Barry, although I remember it in high school

I know this song through hearing it on vintage American Top 40 shows. It's a great one, very underrated. I love its eerie melody - imagine walking through a graveyard on a foggy night listening to this song!

German trance duo DJ/producer Marc et Claude did a sampling for this:
