I found the video online recently. I hadn't seen it in nearly 20 years. Even though this song didn't set the chart on fire, it remains one of my favorite duets of all time. "The Best Of Me" was co-written by Richard Marx. I remember hearing this song on "Countdown America with Dick Clark" the week it flipped to the A/C format (of course, the week after that, the station on which I listened to it dropped the show, since it no longer fit their format). I forget how it goes, but as I recall I thought it was pretty good.

Oh... I had never seen this video before - thanks for the link! One of the few times David Foster actually sang on one of his songs. I really liked this then, and still now... hard to believe it's been 18 years ago already! Of course looking and David and Olivia, yes it does seem like they've aged! I saw David Foster not too long ago at a concert and he definitely looks much older now! Thanks again!

This tune only got to #80 on the Hot 100 in 1986 but it went top ten on the Adult Contemparry chart that year.

I like Cliff Richard's version better, but probably just because I heard it first. Neither version thrills me, but they're both pleasant enough.

I didn't know David Foster could sing!
