Their first hit, from late 1977. A rather short, yet very distinct piano intro (though I don't like the way it's mixed with a horn later on in the song!) and an all-around great ballad. Peaked at #9 CHR/Pop around the holiday period in 1977. Their other Top Ten hit, "Everytime I Think Of You" is just as good, if not better.
Of course, we all know that John Waite went on to have a solo career that was slightly bigger than that with the Babys (he had a #1 hit "Missing You" plus a few other mid-charters).

I used to love The Babys. I just went to Amazon to listen to clips of the songs you mentioned. What a great band. I remember picturing John Waite in my mind as this tall, dark rock star. When I saw him for the first time I couldn't believe it. He was this little unassuming guy with pouffy hair. I like "Everytime I Think of You" better than "Isn't it Time".

One of my favourite songs of its era. Great vocals and nice piano - big surprise at the time.

Good song.
Their "Everytime I Think Of You" remains one of my favorite songs of the late '70s.

This is very good. I also think "Everytime I Think of You" is a better song
