I have heard this song for years and still have yet to find it. I most recently heard it at a customs in Windsor, Ontario, but have heard this song on always in restaurants.
It is by a female and sounds like a mid-90's song, a voice similar to Sixpence None the Richer or Lisa Loeb, the song goes in the chorus..
"Say, That You'll Stay, Stay with me, Say that you'll Stay", more or less, a lot of Says and Stays. Anyone know?

It might be "This Way" by Jewel...

nope, but acoustic guitar sounds very similar though to the song I'm talking about.

You mentioned Lisa Loeb. Could it possibly be "Stay (I Missed You" by Lisa Loeb & Nine Stories? Probably not, since if you know about Lisa Loeb, then you'd know that's the song that she's most famous for.
The only other song that I can think of is "Say You'll Stay" by Kai.

The only other song that I can think of is "Say You'll Stay" by Kai. Only if Leigh Nash or Lisa Loeb has been taking steroids... Kai is a male group. ;)

Donna Lewis - I Love You Always Forever is the only thing that comes to mind even though the lyrics don't really match.

definitely not Kai, its a female solo artist, I'm pretty sure it was a decent hit but have looked through almost every chart and can't find it. It sounds very similar to Leigh Nash.

Is this a really dancey-uptempo kind of song?
If so, then I also want to know what the song is.
EDIT: Nevermind.

It's probably not "Say" by the Corrs, neither, since that song doesn't contain a lot of "stays".

Sounds like the song you're thinking of, Bob, is "Stay" by Shakespear's Sister. That's not the song we're looking for. I know exactly which song No BrakC$ is talking about. I, immediately, started hearing it in my head when he mentioned the lyrics. I'm drawing a complete blank on, both, the title and the artist, but I'm trying to figure it out.

There was another song called Stay, which charted in 1994, by the group Eternal. I have no recollection of what it sounded like, but maybe that's what you heard.
