"We'll Never Have To Say Goodbye Again" (title wouldn't fit in subject line).
This song, as I recall, kind of came and went. A lot of hype propelled this song into the Top Ten, but then it fell fast, making it clear that this duo had already had their day in the sun (although they did have a decent sized hit a year later).
I thought this song was pretty decent. How about you?

This song's okay... I always used to get it confused with "The Goodbye Girl" by David Gates.
My favorites by this duo are "Nights Are Forever Without You", "Love Is The Answer", and "I'd Really Love To See You Tonight". (Whew... their song titles were on par with Billy Ocean's.) :)

Anyhoo, I never really got the two songs confused - namely because I didn't know them by title, being that I was but six years of age back then, but I do remember hearing them and thinking they sounded rather similar. Aaron, what did you mean by the songs were on par with those of Billy Ocean?

Aaron, what did you mean by the songs were on par with those of Billy Ocean? Oh, I meant the lengths of their song titles.

Yeah, songs like "When The Going Gets Tough, The Tough Get Going", "Carribbean Queen (No More Love On The Run", "Love Really Hurts Without You", "There'll Be Sad Songs (To Make You Cry), and his biggest, "Get Outta My Dreams (Get Into My Car)", just to name a few.

The only song of theirs that I'm famiar with is "I'd Really Love To See You Tonight." Leeza Gibbons plays it on her show frequently.

I'll never forgive Barry Manilow for messing it up with his dance version of the song! (Thankfully, Barry's "Summer of '78" CD that I have has only the slow version, which at least does some justice to the original).

I don't know this one. "I'd really Lobe To See You Tonight" and "Nights Are Forever Without You" are both good though.

The tune got all the way to #9 in 1978 but it seemed it had short run on the top 40 because it was only the charts for 8 weeks.

Yeah, I mentioned the fact that it had an unusually short run on the chart for a Top Ten hit. The hype on the song (since it was their first big hit in about a year) was what made it so popular initially, but then it fell even faster. I think it had a slightly longer run on the R&R chart, though.
