This group blows me away because they always sound like they have a full choir, but it's just three of them. This was the only hit from their second album, 1997:
#6 R&B, #39 Hot 100
"5 miles to empty My heart is running low, whoa I need it to fill me up I need it to give me love yeah 5 miles to empty My heart is running low, whoa I need it to fill me up I need it to give me love"

I really wanna find Maxee's solo singles. They were really good, but flopped and i don't think she ever got to release an album.

This song was the bomb and I'm about to listen to it.
My lil' sister hated this though. She said it gave her a headache.

GREAT song. I didn't realize Maxee had solo material. I'd love to hear any of their solo stuff (have only heard Kina's and really like it).

Good song... I was really disappointed that they didn't have any longevity. I liked this group.

I reallllllllllllly like this. R&B doesn't come this good in the 00's.
I was trying to figure out if this was '97 or '98 just the other day... glad Bob cleared that up lol.

It's one of their best song with "If you love me" and "Pass the lovin'".

I never understood why this wasn't bigger than it was. Only reached #39 on the Hot 100. Definitely deserved much better.

I never understood why this wasn't bigger than it was. Only reached #39 on the Hot 100. Definitely deserved much better. Was it about R&B groups dying out by that time? Boyz II Men, En Vogue, Xscape, etc were all selling less by this point. Zhane's follow-up was project was the same year and marked a steep commercial decline. "Neo-soul" was kicking in by then, and R&B seemed more focused on solo acts (Erykah Badu, D'Angelo, Maxwell) from my memory. I could be wrong.

Love. They had beautiful harmonies together. I miss this kind of singing. Such a damn shame.

This song hit No. 39 on the Hot 100. It was a staple at Urban AC radio during ‘97. After they released their sophomore album “Still Climbing, they just disappeared. Love it or hate it. I’ll be waiting for a response.
