I heard a song on the radio and i think it's an old song, probably something from the 00's. It's kind of a rock/alternative song that probably did really well on the Pop charts. The lyrics go a little something like "And I don't want the world to see me cause I don't think that they'd understand, when everything's meant to be broken i just want you to know who i am." That's the chorus. Can anyone identify the song?

This song, from 1998, was one of the biggest songs of the 1990s. Its staying power in the Top Ten was unprecedented. Even that annoying Donna Lewis song didn't spend that long in the Top Ten, and it spent three times as long at number one.

Of course, had it not been for Aerosmith, "Iris" 's run on top would've been much longer (IIRC, seven of Aerosmith's 8 weeks at #1 also had "Iris" at #2).[/font]
