Big comeback hit for Chrissie Hynde and band, almost a decade since they'd previously had a charting single in the UK or US, this was one of thier biggest hits in both country's. #9 CHR pop, #16 hot 100, #10 UK.
I adore this song. Such a wonderful statement of friendship and love.

I like it.
The Hot AC station here has murdered this with overplay since it came out though.

I dug it: beautiful and melancholic song. It does receive a lot of recurrent airplay on the Hot AC stations, though.

What a mess of a cliche.

It's alright.. a bit annoying. I don't really like her voice... maybe if somebody remade it I would like it better.

I hated it. Plus the song had to torture me by falling from 33-34 in its second week and of course I thought it was done. It ends up rallying all the way into the top 10. .

Great song. Their second best behind "Back on the Chain Gang"

Absolutely love it. The perfect song for any two people who have loved and been there for one another through thick and thin no matter what.

I never really cared for this song. I loved the cover by Girls Aloud though. It seemed more fitting but maybe I'm alone on this one.

Not a fan. They have so many better songs. In fact, they even have better schlocky songs.

I don't hate it but it was overplayed on the AC stations (such as Lite FM 93.9, 100.3, and 101.9 the Mix) and I think WXRT played it too when I was younger. This song tends to show up on commercials as well. My favorite Pretenders songs are "My City Was Gone" and "Brass in Pocket".
