Didn't make the Hot 100, and only #29 on the R&B chart (this is back in 1995, "My Life" album), but it did hit #1 on the Dance/club play chart. The album was one of those where she didn't get more than an okay-sized hit, but it still sold tons. I think it's her best album and the song's great... my favorites from the album are "I Love You", "No One Else", and "Be Happy".

Actually, it hit #57 on the Hot 100. I like it, but I like most of the rest of the album better. The only song on My Life that I'm not a huge fan of is "No One Else".

I liked this one...but I was really crazy about "I Love You". That's probably my favorite from "My Life".

I love this track. No my fav single from the My Life era, but it's still good nonetheless.

I really liked this, not as much as "My Life" or "Be Happy".

This song is OK! I liked the video.
My favorites are Be Happy and I'm Going Down.

I thought this was a remix to "Be Happy" at the time. It was the Barry White sample that prompted me to think that. I still love this.

I like the song and all, but for a song called "You Bring Me Joy" she doesn't sound very joyful.

I liked this.
Samples "It's Ecstasy (When You Lay Down Next To Me)" by Barry White.

When I first heard the album, this was one of my instant favorites. There's others I prefer more now, but I still always enjoy this.

Was that song originally done by Anita Baker? No. Anita Baker's song is a totally different song, and her's was a cover of a song by Norman Connors.

Solid song. Often heard it on my urban contemporary station. It was through this song that I heard of the original Barry White song. This song, like most Mary J songs of the time, did much better on rhythmic top 40 than mainstream top 40.
