A friend and I were talking about how great Olivia Newton-John was and how she had a 10-year career before we ever heard of Madonna. Olivia had great tunes like "Let Me Be There" & "Physical." Physical was number one for 11 weeks. She made 2 great movies, Grease & Xanadu. Xanadu is my favorite even though critics hated it. Jeff Lynne and ELO wrote one of the greatest soundtracks ever. www.jimcolyer.comwww.jimcolyer.com/music/Olivia Newton-John www.onlyolivia.com/

I adore her music. The stuff she did for the movie Grease was excellent. "Hopelessly Devoted To You" is my fave song from her. And I like "Physical" as a dance track.
I recently recieved some dance remixes of "Xanadu" and "Hopelessly Devoted To You." They were cookie-cutter dance mixes. I felt nostalgic and dug up the originals.

Some of her stuff is very good ("Hopeless Devoted...", "Magic", "Xanadu"); some is terrible ("Physcal", all the upbeat "Grease" stuff).

Yeah, Grease has stood the test of time. It is one of those rare movies that appeals to every generation. Xanadu is more limited in its appeal but has a cult following.
