Anyone remember this one? You had to go through five different obstacle-course type levels, each as a member of Journey, trying to recover their respective instruments. In each level, an electronic version of one of Journey's songs played. In the Steve Smith level, for instance, "Wheel In The Sky" was playing as you bounced back and forth on drums. Several bounces on the drum and it was gone. You had to make all the drums disappear, I think. "Don't Stop Believin'", "Chain Reaction", "Stone In Love" and another song (I forget the title) were the other songs that played (a web site mentions "Lights" and "Still They Ride", but I know those weren't the song I can't think of, which I know for a fact is off of their 1981 "Escape" album. Anyway, after you made it through all five levels, you got to play a bonus level, in which you controlled Herbie, Journey's tour manager, as he moves back and forth between the three doors to the stage as fans try to enter. Through this level, a tape player inside the machine plays a loop of "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)", though in one version of the game, the song was "Oh Sherry", which didn't make sense, since that's Steve Perry's solo hit, not by the band Journey. Anyhoo, if any member of the crowd manages to sneak in, they all rush the stage, steal the instruments again and, of course, you have to play all five rounds over again. I'm not sure if they become more difficult the second time around or not. So does anyone else remember this game?

Funny you should mention that game. Leeza Gibbons on "Hollywood Confidential" was talking about it before going into a Journey song ("Faithfully" I believe) a month or two ago. But yeah, I used to play this game all the time at Aladdin's Arcade back in the mid '80s.

Was it Aladdin's Arcade or Aladdin's Castle? Many of the malls I went to back in the 1980s had "Aladdin's Castle".
I believe I only got up to the Herbie level once. But I didn't understand the concept of it, so naturally, all the crowd rushed the stage right away. And I don't remember whether the pace of the game picked up or not, since I was so confused as to what had happened (I had seen someone get up to the Herbie bonus level once before and I thought it was just like a Pac Man cartoon or something). I was thinking, "Why was it so short?" But then, I watched the demo of the game and that was when I learned what I had to do in that bonus level, which, unfortunately, I never got up to again :(

I was also confused by how the Journey game was played. All I can remember was the faces of the members pasted on cartoon bodies. And they jumped on drums.
