This was a good follow up to "Closing Time," shame it didn't become a hit nor chart.

Well, it peaked at #10 on alternative, and I'd call that a hit status on the format. This song was pretty solid, I agree. I think I might like the follow-up, "Secret Smile", more. One track that I really liked from the album was "Never You Mind". Shame that was never released, or might have been, but I know it got local airplay.

I like this. The idea of mixtapes as love letters really appeals to me for some reason. This song should have been bigger than it was.

This song was really good and I never understood why it wasn't released to pop at all. The video was pretty cool also. I really liked Semisonic's first album as well.

This was the only other song off of that album besides "Closing Time" I liked. I never understood why they didn't send this one out but instead sent the incredibly boring "Secret Smile" to pop (But from the replies in this topic, evidently the rest of you do. )

I really liked this song...in fact I liked it quite a bit more than "Closing Time" which got annoying after a while. I don't think I've ever heard "Secret Smile."

Feeling Strangely Fine is one of my top 10 albums of all time. Loved it from the first time I listened to it. Loved this song but I had no clue it was even a single at the time. Now knowing it was, I don't understand why it wasn't bigger. It definitely should have been released to Pop. I happened to be in Europe in the summer of 1999, and again, had no clue "Secret Smile" was a single either until I saw the video there. That is probably my favorite song from the album but "Singing In My Sleep" definitely sounds like the bigger hit. Great Divide was a great album as well. Probably in my top 30 albums. Did any of those songs chart anywhere?
