Does anyone here know any CDs that contain mid late 80s new jack swing and house tracks?? I'm looking for the band Today, that did "Him Or Me" "Girl, I Got.." and "Why You Get Funky..." and less hitty stuff of that era. "Working Up A Sweat" by First Circle, is another track, "Strung Out" by Paul Laurence is another I can't find.
I just found the debut album by EnTouch, on CD Universe, which includes "II Hype" and "All Nite" but it doesn't include their classic New York club hit "Without You" when they went under the name Touch. I have most of these on 12 inch vinyls and may have to undertake a major project to convert them to mp3s using EMagic Logic software to fix scratches and give them some nice little tweaks and such.
Also, another band I can't seem to find on CD is Total Contrast, tho I have both albums of theirs.
Colonel Abrams' "Music Is The Answer" is another song I can't seem to find.
Also, not either genre, but along those lines, Twin Hype and "Do It To The Crowd."
Two songs that don't show up on any of their compilations, and are great remixes, are the Jellybean Benitez remix of the Talking Heads club hits from Speaking In Tongues, "Slippery People/Making Flippy Floppy."
I'm having trouble finding the full length version of Eugene Wilde's "Don't Say No Tonight" which in edited form, sounds, well, like it was edited.
There are prolly a zillion others...
