Anyone remember this UK #1 single, Mel B's debut solo single? It was featured in the WB flop Fall movie "Why Do Fools Fall In Love."
Does anyone know if "I Want You Back" was ever a single in America? It earned a terrible review from Entertainment Weekly and Ellen K played it on her late night songs from movie soundtracks. I remember En Vogue had a commercial single for the movie "Why Do Fools Fall In Love" because Sam Goody had it for a big discount.
"I think I want you back Your love has made a deep impact I know it might sound wack, But damn, I think I want you, want you back!" :) Great lyrics! Mel B looked scary in the video too!
I loved the intro too! "I'm the M to the E - L - B you know me I'm the M-I-S-S-Y to the E And I got many flows from overseas Well how can you BEEP BEEP with no keys?"
:) :) :) The SG were playing Wembley the week Mel B was #1! I know this because I own the Spice Girls "Wembley" concert video! :) :) :)

I liked this song, and 'Why Do Fools Fall In Love' was actually a pretty good movie.
I do remember a funny review from Entertainment Weekly though, they were like 'Well as Mel B says herself, "I know it might sound wack"...'

I absolutely love this song. I ended up importing her debut cd when it came out. I am a pretty big fan of her music too bad she never really caught on. I remember seeing the video on MTV so it must've been released here.

The vocals were very flat, but I liked Missy's production here.

I was SO into this. Lol If I remember correctly I saw her perform it on an award show like The EMA’s?? Of course I bought the full cd, but it didn’t get much love from me. Years later I found a few other tracks I love on it?? I was always quick to stick a song on a mix and ignore other tracks unless they were promoted or got attention I guess. I’m realizing now I missed out on many good songs. “Hotter, Tell Me and ABC 123” were also cute from this release.
