why is Miley 47 on mediabase but not showing up on all access? As msm444 pointed out on the last page, All access shows the top 50 songs based on spins. That means that Pat Green with 285 spins is the 50th song. After him, Holly Williams would have been next with 282, then Love & Theft with 278. Bomshel also has more than Miley, so she has to climb over 3 songs still to make it on to the All Access list, and she better hurry because Brad will be coming along soon with his new song as well. Also, based on the Highlights today, it seems like Point of Grace stayed on the chart this week, and their audience is only 0.331 on MB. That's a pretty low total for the #59 record (assuming they're above Caitlin & Will).

Doesn't all access rank them the same way that Mediabase does? "Country Star" isn't 50 on all access, hes 42. All Acccess is missing 46 and 47. it goes right from number 45 to number 48. I was just wondering why? So love and theft and Miley are on All Access' chart, they're just not showing up....

They just determine which 50 songs to show on the chart based on spins. So last week, even though Pat Green was #40 based on the MB formula, he was not shown on All Access as his position based on spins was #51. They still show the numbers based on the MB chart, but they determine which 50 to show based on spins. Seems strange as they show the position based on the formula, but that's what they do.

UTR - if you have a chance, I was wondering how Brad was doing so far this week. Just wondering if he has a chance of out outperforming the debut of Keith Urban at #29 this week.

Thanks for the info. If he keeps up this pace, I would think he'd debut about the same place. If Lee Ann goes recurrent this week, I think would come in at #28, otherwise I'd go with #29.

I was actually going to ask for the same thing - probably should have done so while the other requests were out there. Also, could you give us an update on Kenny Chesney tomorrow. It appears that he is moving quickly out of the gate according to RTT and might end up debuting even higher than Brad did this week. Thanks again for all of the info.

It's good that BB/RR have different recurrency rules than MB as it appears that Kevin Fowler might have actually made it back into the Top 60 this week with "Best Mistakes I Ever Made" as its audience number was larger than Mark Chesnutt's audience.
It's been just about 6 months since Kevin Fowler had his 20th week on the BB chart for the week ending Sept. 13, 2008 and yet it still looks like it would have enough audience to make the chart.
I can see that happening for some of the bigger hits, but it just goes to show that being played on a few big stations still gets you enough airplay to reach the bottom of the charts.
It will be interesting to see how much audience Mark Chesnutt had on BB. I'm guessing it was a bit more than MB and he'll end up somewhere around 0.31.
UTR - thanks again for the updates. Always nice to see what's going on in the lower parts of the charts.

I'm looking forward to next week's numbers -- Martina had a few album tracks at about 100k audience total, and I expect Keith Urban to do better than that. Would like to see how he's doing as the week progresses -- he could get a couple of tracks to chart, considering how low the Billboard bottom-feeders will be coming in on 4/11.

UTR - Any chance of a midweek update? I'm also quite interested now that I see that Mark Chesnutt managed to get to #60 on BB with an incredibly low audience number of 0.227. I don't think I've ever seen a number that low on the BB chart.

Thanks for the numbers, UTR, as I was especially interested in seeing if any of the album cuts by Urban were going to have received enough scattered airplay to chart this week. Looks doubtful, with maybe just Hit The Ground a contender. The audience for the #60 song last week was very low, but it would have helped had there been a few recurrent candidates in the top 40 this week. We'll see what the Chart Highlights show, but it looks like Kenny is still the only master at charting album cuts during his album's release week.

RF looks like they might have charted an album track -- though possibly this will be a single eventually anyway. They're almost as impressive as Kenny when it comes to maxing out their chart appearances. If nobody goes recurrent this week -- only Adam Gregory would appear to have a chance -- we won't have much room for debuts. Carrie's third song looks like it will leave. Maybe Chesnutt will fall out. Maybe Jamie O'Neal will drop farther on BB than she does here. But not much room for debuts -- probably only two -- and nobody seems to want to debut anyway. Lee Ann, it's all yours. Urban and RF can fight it out for the other position.

UTR, add my thanks to those above. This is the only place I can find the songs below the radar. Glad to see Bucky Covington's "I Want My Life Back" is showing. Hope it continues to make the Top 50. This is the first single off of his yet to be released sophomore CD.
