Anybody else order this yet? I was surprised that my favorite remixers of all time Love To Infinity produced 2 Christmas-themed tracks for her: Hey Mr. Christmas and Every Day's A Holiday. Paul Goodyear produced a song called Hard Candy Christmas which is, I'm told, a cover of an old Dolly Parton song. The version of O Holy Night is slightly changed up from the previously-released edit, in the intro & outro most noticably. My favorite tracks is actually Favorite Things, it's that old Julie Andrews tune, you know "raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens..." she makes it sound SO modern, so hip, so chique, that song right there is worth the price of the whole EP. Couple typos on the sleeve though, and the jingle-bells sound effects before each track starts gets kind of annoying. But definitely a must-have for the collectors out there. You can get it from her website for $7.99 here: www.kristinew.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=37&products_id=346&osCsid=c353f98d8bddc62e1d8e436d6acc7ee2

i wish it had the mixes of "oh holy night" bc that maxi-single is impossible to find now :( well, technically there never was a maxi-single....the origins of this particular song are shrouded in mystery, and only a handful of in-house promo CD-R's were ever pressed up for "O Holy Night" (I'd kill to own one myself but all I've ever found was a .jpg scan). From what I understand, she first recorded the song in November 2001, and 2 variations of the full Joe Carrano/Welcome mix exist: the full one is 9:50, and a fade-outro version of this also exists, clocking in at 9:06. The latter leaked years ago back in the Napster days, and was also officially released on the "Kristine's Kristmas Kard" CD a couple years back. Absolutely brilliant production by Welcome/Joe, sounds a HECKUVA lot like a Victor Calderone remix, which goes to show you how much of an influence his programming/keyboard skills were for Victor back in the day. Too bad the edit is a badly-flawed hatchet job so hastily-done it'd make Santa Clause himself roll over in his grave. The Welcome Edit of O Holy Night released on the "Hey Mr. Christmas" CD is identical to the version from "Kristine's Kristmas Kard" in case anyone's interested.

no, no, no....this appearence of O Holy Night (from Perfect Beat) was in 2006, as the B-side to the single "Mary Did You Know". As I said, the first appearence of O Holy Night as an A-side was in 2001 or 2002, on those extremely-limited edition promo CD's.
