That sounds GREAT! Sure took em long enough to get a new single out though. Hope what little momentum he had , isn't gone...

I love this guy and need to hear the studio version before I can make my full opinion on it, but it sounds good from the youtube clip.

I am anticpating his return to radio. I think I will wait to listen to a studio version. Hopefully he gets his first Billboard Top 10 with this album.

I hope waiting a year to put out new material for him didn't kill his career (gotta love LS), but I'm really looking forward to hearing this. His previous singles were all top notch.

In some cases waiting can be the wise choice if by doing so the quality is better than it would have otherwise been. I think it would have helped many artists inlcuding Gretchen Wilson, even though I have enjoyed all of her albums.

I LOVED Trent's debut album. There were some EXCELLENT, solid songs on it. Can't wait for new material. Hopefully Lyric Street doesn't delay the release by a year or two....... Oh wait, wrong label.

To be honest, I don't think enough people knew who he was to actually forget him. There are tons of people who could sing parts of "Drunker Than Me" or "Just Might Have Her Radio On". But if you asked a bunch of people who Trent Tomlinson was, I bet you'd hear a lot of them say "Huh?"

I don't care for this at all. It's just a laundry list of things that are wrong with the world, and it comes off to me as a 3:00 long complaint. And it doesn't even really say why the past is so much better, other than that it's the opposite of the present. Plus I don't think the song is a very good fit for Trent's voice. I was really looking forward to Trent taking the next step and establishing himself, but I don't see this song doing all that well.

It reminds me a lot of that Bucky Covington song "A Different World"... It's probably a little too preachy to be a big hit, but you never know. I'm pretty tired of listing songs. Where are the stories? That said, I kinda like this guy, so hopefully his second single is stronger.

Like it, don't LOVE it like his other stuff. I will be happy if this goes Top 20 and the album drops. I have little doubt the CD will be stellar. "The Bottle" off of the last disc is one of my all-time favorites, regardless of artist or genre.

Judging from the way this song is registered on Mediabase, it seems that Disney may have shifted Trent from Lyric Street over to the new Carolwood imprint. Probably a good move since Trent was an extremely low priority at LS.
