A radio edit of this was sent out to country radio today. It's listed as going for adds today.
I've always thought this would be a perfect song to send out to country radio, so I'm excited to see how it will do. I don't think top 20 is out of the question.
Edit: Goes for adds 1/26.

Interesting that they waited so long to send out a followup, but this is a great choice. I was really pleasantly surprised by how good the album is. I think almost every song could be a single to one format or another. By my count this is the seventh song from the album to go for adds somewhere.

yes. if anything, he should have released "Roll On" to Country. that is the only bearable song on his album.

It just entered the Hot AC top 50 (and has a video), so I'm slightly surprised they aren't pushing it instead. I think "Roll On" is a better song, but "Blue Jeans And A Rosary" is more 'country'.

Wow. I am very impressed by this. I think Rock shows a lot of maturity on this. I, too, wonder whether country will touch this. But it would definitely be a standout on radio, I think.

This is a pretty good song, and probably the best choice to be sent to country radio. Solid lyrics, and I think Kid does a pretty good job with it vocally. I'm not in love with the production though, and without any kind of remix, I don't see this making the T20, but I think it does have a good chance to make the T40. Roll On may have charted had he released it, but I don't think it would've had much of an impact on country radio. I hope this encourages him to record a few more countryish songs on his next album, because all 4 of the singles he's released to country have been top notch.

I do like Kid Rock and it's nice to see him making attempts with country since I know he has trumendous respect for it. However, I don't see Kid Rock becoming a constant on the country charts. This is a once in a while occurrence when the perfect song comes along. The label shouldn't attempt to duplicate the chart success of one song by releasing any song they think might fit at country radio.
