Perfect choice for the next single. It has to be one of my favorites on the album.
This should easily hit top 5, given the consistent success they are beginning to have. I'm so glad for these guys.

If only they knew the key to selling albums. They have been around for years and have had decent sales in the past. This album has started out better than any of their others, with 2 number one singles, and yet their album dropped out of the Top 200 in early November at which point it had only sold just over 100k.

I think it's a fairly radio-friendly single, but I can see the "Hey Y'all" line getting on my nerves very quickly. I'm glad Eddie Montgomery was featured more in this single.

I was hoping for something like "One Trip" or "Look Some More," but the novelty value of this alone should allow it to do well. It's a good song, and I guess it's a good followup to one of their most mellow singles to date.
That said, the "Hey Y'all" part is just a little odd to me.

This just blew onto the 'CT40' countdown at #32, and it's going to be an absolute smash; I really like it!

the beginning chords of this song remind me of "pink houses" by john mellencamp...

Is there a bigger discrepancy in country music than Montgomery Gentry? These guys seem to always make at least top 5 with their singles but cant sell an album to save their lives. This looks to be another big hit for them and I would not be surprised if it's their third #1 in a row.

Craig Morgan is not as successful on the charts as MG though. his last 5 singles have all missed the top 5. while only 2 of MG's last 13 singles have missed the top 5. you would expect them to be superstars by now.

I like this song's hook, but the "hey y'all" is a bit awkward. I'm surprised that MG can't sell albums very well either. I've said it before, it's almost like Columbia Nashville has some sort of curse on it. Either acts get good chart positions but low sales, or vice versa (I'm looking at you, Miranda). They've not exactly had a great track record with artists lately either. Since 1999, I think the only new acts that Columbia has launched are Shelly Fairchild, Brice Long, Cole Deggs & the Lonesome, and technically Van Zant though they were a retool of an existing act. Not a very good track record, even if Shelly's debut was a great album.

Just adding that Columbia also launched Jessi Alexander, Trent Willmon, Buddy Jewell and if ou count them launching Van Zant you can say the same with Jessica Simpson. Not that that makes their track record any better.

Since Columbia is part of what was the SonyBMG Nashville merger part I think you couldn't realy say they're cursed and prior to "Some People Change" MG DID sell gold/platinum. I think they're a direct result of fans being able to purchase singles. The duo is a fun radio duo but like many AC acts, they're not likely to give a label a big investment return in this day and age, unless they somehow find a gigantic multi-week "Gotta own that CD" smash, which many artists seemingly don't get anymore, unless You're the Zac Brown Band...

Not that that makes their track record any better. Blargh, how did I forget Trent Willmon? His debut was almost as good as Shelly's. Also I didn't count Jessica since she's a holdover from Epic like Miranda and Gretchen. I counted Van Zant version 2.0 only because the "original" Van Zant was more than just a duo.

Ten Pound Hammer: Jessica is still signed to Epic NY that's why that logo is there. For her country career she's only been on Columbia Nashville.

I am surprised by how much I like this one. It's an amazing follow-up to "Roll With Me", which I also loved. This is a good, fun song. Easily Top 5.

Huh, I just realized that the intro sounds a LOT like "Double Wide Paradise".

This is shaping up as one of the very biggest singles of the spring of 2009, and I certainly wouldn't be surprised if it went to #1.

I thought the "Hey Y'all" would get on my nerves, but this song is actually a breath of fresh air when it comes on the radio. Eddie really gives this song attitude.

I've never really been a fan of theirs, but I like this, "Roll With Me" and "Back When I Knew It All". I wouldn't mind if this became their 3rd #1 in a row.

i thought it was "pink houses" that it sounded like, but maybe you're right... Actually, that opening chord pattern (G G D D D C C) shows up in a lot of songs. "Nowhere Bound" by Diamond Rio and "Bigger Than the Beatles" by Joe Diffie use it too.

the other day I heard it come on and started singing Sheryl Crow's "I Can't Cry Anymore". Glad to see this becoming a big hit for the spring season

This has quietly sneaked into the top 5, although it might move back to #6 next week if it gets passed by "Sideways."

I just have one question about this song: What the HECK is "Grow the tee"? I've found nothing about it at all that wasn't tied to this song's lyrics.
