Wow, this is horrible. There have been some awful songs the last couple of years but this one is in a league by itself.

I love Dolly but this is pretty bad. Just a bad choice to remake this song. Adding fiddles to it too.

In all honesty this song is still pretty good. That being said it's not country (though All Access' country section reviewer said it was). They released this to AC and Pop, not to country. My guess is the fiddles are taken out of the pop version.

Fine Young Cannibals originally recorded this 1989 hit song.

I love this song!! I think it's great that Dolly has had four singles from this album. I hope she does well with it.

Yeah, she's definitely worked hard at promoting this project. I actually think this song is decent, but can't see it being a hit at all. I think "Better Get To Livin'" deserved to do a whole lot better than it did.

The mix sent out to Hot AC, etc still has the fiddles in it. It's an interesting move by Dolly and her team for sure. I can't see very many people latching onto her delivery. I'm not even a big fan of how she whispers lines of some of her songs. Otherwise, when I saw her sing this live, it's definitely "Dolly."

So was there ever a mix of it sent out anywhere besides country? I haven't seen or heard anything about it other than from here.

I love this version and I hear its really fun to see live. I'll agree with that.. but it really is not a sensible single... I wonder if Dolly will stay with her mainstream mood.. I really really enjoy her "creative" works; Little Sparrow, The Grass Is Blue, Halos & Horns, and Those Were The Days are wonderful pieces of work. I know she scrapped a bluegrass album, so she could go back to releasing that.. but I'd like to see her do other things, too.. like Norah Jones-styled music or something with AKUS... would be great to see her do a country duets album, too.

Dolly's put a video out for "Backwoods Barbie" now... is this being sent to radio anytime soon? It's the "oldest" sounding song on the album, I think. A classic Dolly, country song.
