i would like this song if she didnt talk in that dragging low voice that she thinks is seductive. it really just sounds like a drag queen. It IS seductive. And sexy. She sounds nothing like a drag queen.

I am a man and I find that voice VERY attractive. It makes me go :o. LOL. Seriously, I don't know of anyone else that can turn me on with just a voice. Britney can.

While I hate censorship as a whole, if this absolutely has to be censored, I think this would work: -Rather than just leave "if you" as dead air, stutter the "s" a bit. So that it's "All the girls and all the guys are beggin' to s-s-seek Amy." -Near the end, where there are a lot of "Oh baby baby if you seek Amy tonight" lines, change "if" to "do" and make it a question. "Oh baby baby do you seek Amy tonight?" My $.02. CENSORSHIP IS WRONG. 100% of the time. SMASH CENSORING!!

this song is not going to be censored. Man people are ultra sensitive these days. I didn't think things would get this bad. I hope the new FCC chairman will get rid of all of this ultra censorship stuff..... since the SB.

Sorry, Adonis but I spent 4 years as an on-air DJ for a commercial radio station. Whether or not you think the song SHOULD be censored is a moot point but logistically, IF a station decided to play this, there is no way they would risk the FCC's wrath and NOT censor it. I have seen promo discs with "clean versions" which would block out a word or two and "extra clean" or something along those lines, where the song is either COMPLETELY redone or is missing huge chunks of phrases. Eminem singles got that treatment a lot. Sometimes, a "clean" version could say "ass" or "bitch" and a "super clean" could say neither. That Missy Elliott single "She's A Bitch" is another example. The clean version actually kept the word "bitch" and censored serious swears while the "super clean" version had gaping holes. The FCC is NOT to be fucked with. Serious fines are incurred if you don't play by their rules and you could be suspended as a jock or the station is shut down altogether, in the absolute worst case scenario (that never happens tho because by the time you add up all those fines, you are basically shut down anyway). Saying the song absolutely WON'T be censored is ridiculous. Either it will be censored or not played at all. If the song is played in its album version entirety, I might drop of shock.

I mean, few straight guys will listen to Britney because they think the music is seductive, right?

This song is asinine, immature to the point of infancy, and burns extremely quickly.
None of these things will stop it from being a #1 hit. In fact, they may assist it.

Radar will NEVER be released. And thank God for that. Songs from previous albums should not be under any consideration AT ALL. I am still pissed that it is even on the album. I used to like it a lot, and now I just skip it and think to myself, why the hell are you here?? And I think "Amy" deserves a little more credit than some people are giving it. What if Amy is Britney as she would like to see herself. Amy certainly exhibits a lot of Britney's past behaviors, club going, smoking up outside, etc. Maybe the song is about Britney trying to find herself again, but she can't because of "all the people standing in the way." She is searching for this version of herself, to no avail. So for the chorus she just says f**k it who cares. All the boys and all the girls are begging to F U C K me. I know she didn't write it herself, but it could have been written with her situation in mind. Of course, that could just be a gross over-analyzation. I believe Britney probably identifies with this song completely actually even the chorus. I remember seeing several paparazzi videos of people shouting Britney you look amazing and she would reply "Yeah, I know, I'm the sh**" completely seriously. I think she has a bit of ego but nothing wrong with that. She knows people want her. It's kind of funny.

I think her vocal performance in this song is fine, do I think she is trying to be seductive? No. I actually think she is just trying to be obnoxious and cute. It's a tounge in cheek song not really a sexy song. This isn't Slave.

Love it, hate it, say what you want about it, but all of the boys and all of the girls believe that it'll go #1. Hopefully the censorship won't ruin it.

LMFAO at anyone who says it's not obvious. I mean c'mon, seriously, this is not a hidden message or innuendo here, it's a flat out spelling of the word f**k with me at the end. I have a hard time believing anyone who's actually listened to the words didn't figure it out instantly. I hate to insult anyone's intelligence, but how can you not pick up on it on a first listen? ??? It's utterly ridiculous for anyone to suggest this will go over most listeners' heads. Agreed 100%

This is prob my fav song off of Circus.... probably because she spells it out and it's pretty funny how it works at points, but at other times it's so blatant. Plus, I think it's catchy overall. I've a feeling she'll do a radio-friendly edit, and change some of the words.

maybe it's just best that they switch the single because if they censor this it wouldn't be the same
and btw both the chr's here said they would be hesitant to add it well our verteran chr (which is HAC-leaning) said they wouldn't add it all because they have alot of conservative listeners and the newer one (which is rhythmic-leaning) said if they added it they would only play it late-nights & overnight and even that would be pushing it.
and since Z100 & KISS are hesitant that should be a huge red flag to Jive & Britney about the situation

This song confused me, I first read it as "If You Seek Any" so I thought "oh great, another oversexed pop song." Than I saw that it was actually AMY and I thought that it could be some ballad. Then the first time I heard the chorus, I couldn't believe how stupid it sounded. I got the whole "hidden" message immediately, but it's not even clever because the actual lyrics don't even make sense. The whole double entendre doesn't work unless the original "obvious" message makes sense. And this song falls way short of that. This is the very definition of a novelty song, and in this case it will probably backfire.

I dont think they should make an edit but if they have to why dont they just make it "If U See Amy"? makes more sense than cutting out two words from the title of the song.

Can I just say that that version of it with the 'IF U' cut out makes it sound more like Fuck Me.
Now all you here is well for me anyway is "all of the boys and all of the girls are begging to ____ C K me. I think they should just leave it, as you can see some people don't even know about it.
Plus I'm happy because they are playing here in Australia with no words blanked out =)

lol, all this controversy will make this song HUGE! If a radio edit has to be played then so be it, but this is going straight to #1 regardless!

When Eamon's F**k It, and Puddle of Mudds She F**kin Hates Me were huge hits, I don't think any stations are going to simply not play this song. All they're going to do is play the edit version and I think the edit version is going to make people so curious and download it from itunes. The censorship could actually help it in my opinion.
Either way, word of mouth and curiosity will make this song huge alone.

This song is so damn infectious. I'm glad they realized that there's nothing wrong with releasing three uptempo songs in a row.
