Is this the same Holly Williams as the one who was on Universal South?
If it is I'm excited as I loved her first album. :)

Jordan, it is indeed Holly.
It's a good single that really reminds me of Mary Chapin and Kim Richey.

Nah, The fact that she's a 'legacy' will at least get her a Top 20 record out of this and She could be this year's "Jamey Johnson" for Mercury. She's got a big shot as this song is hooky and really good.

Jordan,
That record wasn't promoted to Country radio. It was more of an AAA album and DID get chart action there.

There's just enough Lucinda Williams in her singing to make me wonder if this will flop, given the trends of contemporary country radio. On the other hand, if it's promoted enough, it ought to get a decent run. Kim Richey, that's a good comparison -- maybe if Kim had the last name "Haggard" she would have done better.
I like this song a lot, but my approval is generally the kiss of death.

I wonder if Mercury will release the album if this doesn't do well like they did with Julie Roberts and Randy Rogers Band? Though those two had a decent fan base when they did it. ???

She has a song with Yusaf Islam on his new cd. I'm sure she will get some new fans when it comes out. Its not out till May 5th though. I like this song and I think it will start getting some promoting soon.

This lost a good bit of audience this week on MB. If the video is going to help, it had better help soon.
A couple of new adds would help bridge the gap between now and May 5. Let's hope this song continues to find an audience.
