Pearl Jam
TBA (TBA, summer/fall)
After reissuing its landmark 1991 debut album "Ten" in a variety of goodies-packed configurations in March, Pearl Jam will follow up with its ninth studio album this year, likely a self-release. Sources close to the band say Eddie Vedder was knocked out by the demos the other members polished during a retreat in Montana and then presented to him. Producer Brendan O'Brien is back behind the boards for the first time since 1998's "Yield." Bassist Jeff Ament says, "He's a great musician and we trust him, which is really important when you have a group of people with totally different opinion on whether a song is good or not."

Backspacer is out today. Can't say I'm a huge Pearl Jam fan, but I'm interested in seeing what kind of numbers they pull. 1. Gonna See My Friend 2. Got Some 3. The Fixer 4. Johnny Guitar 5. Just Breathe 6. Amongst the Waves 7. Unthought Known 8. Supersonic 9. Speed of Sound 10. Force of Nature 11. The End Seems to be getting good reviews: www.metacritic.com/music/artists/pearljam/backspacer

Why aren't they kicking out the next single now? Just Breathe is clearly done. They mentioned Unthought Known but it still hasn't seen an adds date.

Pearl Jam have been impressively consistent with their sales figures as of late.
Considering they barely broke half a million domestically eight years ago, they've been on a roll well into their career since then. I would be very pleased with the sales figures for "Backspacer" as of today.

Yea personally I would go for Johnny Guitar and then Amongst The Waves. I can see the latter having big crossover potential.
