Never Ever is NOT Ciara's lead single. Go girl was. She is just too ashamed to admit its flop, so she calls it her "promo single" Promo my ass Your acting like Ciara herslf is actually making all these decisions. Her label is the one who is in charge of marketing and obviously they are the ones calling it the first single. And we all know Go Girl flopped but the general public will have forgotten about it which is why it is smart on the labels behalf to classify Never Ever as the first single.

100% agree with jamrock16. Artists will continue to do that, because they don't have the guts to admit to their failure.

^Very true, Ashlee Simpson and Nicole Scherzinger did that, but that tactic doesn't work, because the "promo" single flops, then the supposed 1st single flops too, and then there's usually just a continuous train of flops, likely to happen to Ciara as well.

Ok, I just decided to watch the Goodies video. She looked really cute. In fact, she looked much prettier than she looked in her "Never Ever" video. Did she get some work done? Maybe she just lost a bit too much weight- she looked softer before- she's a bit too hard for my taste now. Or maybe it's the make up. Or the weave. I dunno. Something about how she looks in the vid is really buggin me. I'm all for progression, but I miss the "Oh"" and "Goodies" Ciara. She even looked better in "Go Girl." She looks like she's trying too hard here. Something. ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png)

A #40 peak on the Hot 100 wouldn't be that bad, but it would still be a flop. I'd take it though. As for the "scherzinger" stuff, Ciara is a bit too big to go down that road. She just needs to release a banger and get it over with it.
I just want "Never Ever" to go Top 10 on Urban at the least.

At the same time I'm glad Never,Ever is out because now people can't complain when she keeps banging out Uptempos. It's weird because everytime she does something in a row people complain. Everyone was saying "her and Jazze make records with the same sounds". As soon as Jazze is gone it's "they need to reunite". She used to end albums with a slow song, but maybe this time it's the start and then all uptempos.

That hair color and weave was killing me. I do agree that she toned up a little too much, but she still looks great. IMO, she looked her best in "1, 2 Step, Get Up, & Can't Leave Em Alone."

I guess Ciara wants people to see a more soft side of her so she wants to sing some slow-tempo ballads and stuff, which in a way I kinda agree, cause its hard for an artist to experience growth by just making uptempos and shaking your booty around all the time. Im just hoping that whatever she comes out with next is pure FIRE. She cant afford another Go Girl

I think this will do better then Go Girl. It might not be a smash on pop but I think it'll do at least respectably on Urban and will pave the way for future singles from her that'll do better.

I think the songs alright. And lord, she needs a hit, lol.
I liked her last album, so I'm curious to hear "Fantasy Ride".
