The lead single from T.I.'s 2006 release King. It was also featured in the movie ATL. "What You Know" was produced by DJ Toomp and samples Roberta Flack's "Gone Away". This was his most successful solo single at the time peaking at #3.
Personally, this is was one of his most memorable singles to date. This was more mainstream than his previous singles at the time. I liked the edited chorus, the beat was nice, and the raps were on point. It's still great.

The last hip hop classic, IMO.

This was a classic, that's what really got me listening to TI. His follow-up was off the chain as well called "Why You Wanna", both hits will remain on my Ipod for the rest of my life!!!

This is clearly what made T.I.. His record before this was pretty awful, but he turned it up for his next one and his latest is one of the best rap albums I've ever heard.

I don't know if I like this or "U Don't Know Me" more, but I strongly enjoy both songs. I was amazed how much I ended up enjoying both songs compared to the "meh" cheap-ish songs from Trap Muzik.

Looking back, it's amazing that this only peaked at #37 on Pop. If it had come out a year or two earlier, it would have had a much better shot.

This song was released in 2006 as the lead single to his fourth album, King. The song was a critical success, being on many "greatest songs" list and being nominated for multiple Grammys and winning "Best Rap Solo Performance". It was also a commercial success peaking at #3 on the Hot 100 and #1 Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. It has been certified 2x Platinum.
