Sorry, but it's seriously sad that this song is actually seeing success....

This isn't THAT bad. People here are over exaggerating. I mean, it's better than s**t like "Diva." This "song" makes Diva look like an epic piece of pop perfection.

I don't understand why he's sticking to the worst song he's recorded for the single. CHR Hit.

With all the problems in the country/world right now, it kind of makes me sad this stuff like this is given attention and success

Who cares? Y'all act as if this song is so offensive. It just a novelty song that people want to listen to. Don't take it so personal like it's the "downfall of music" or something.

I don't find it any different than other artists talking about money and exuberance when they are fully aware of the economic problems facing the country. The American public doesn't seem to mind at all; "Whatever You Like" by T.I. was released with gas prices at an all-time high and the recession clearly setting in, but the song still hit #1 quite easily.

^ But even back in late summer/early fall, things were not nearly as dire as they are right now. I am positive that a song like "Glamorous" could not do nearly as well if it were released now. And just look at what has happened to the once ubiquitous "bling rap"

it bugs me that artist like britney and the pussycat dolls are scrutinized constantly for showing some skin but a trashy shi* song like this does well. wtf? it sets a MUCH worse example.
and the music industry has taken a turn for the worse. the wrong songs are becoming hits.

and i don't think the economy affects how flashy songs do AT ALL.

and i don't think the economy affects how flashy songs do AT ALL. Agreed. Whatever You Like, Got Money, and Can't Believe It were huge hits in the fall on Rhythmic and Urban. All three songs showed off limitless wealth and flashy characteristics. Pop Champagne, a song about excessive alcohol consumption in a party atmosphere, hit #1 on Urban just a month ago. The current #1 on Urban, Blame It by Jamie Foxx, has virtually the same meaning as Pop Champagne, referring to upscale varieties of liquor and careless attitudes of alcoholic consumption in the club. There is absolutely nothing stopping this type of music from doing well.

Replace "I don't understand why" with "It's a shame" and I totally agree.

I still really, really, really don't like this song. I'd take a top 20 comprised solely of simultaneously released singles by Lady Gaga, Beyonce, TI and Britney Spears over this song getting anywhere near top 20.
I actually feel bad for "Diva," a song I don't care much for, because this song potentially caused its negative update today. That is how much I do not like this song.

We play this song at our house parties; it goes over well. However, I can see where it has limited audience.

As a current college student, I LOVE this song!!! As a current college student who has the luxury of spending a good deal of time under alcoholic influence, this still isn't very good. I don't need crappy songs to validate my lived experience. Quality, please. (That said, I also think this has produced some disproportionately extreme negative reactions for what is essentially a forgettable, slightly annoying novelty.)
