What's there to complain about the lyrics of this song? It's straight to the point unlike the hidden meaning behind 'If You Seek Amy'. Well, that lady on FoxTV was complaining about the wrong role model of Britney for kids just because she said: "All the boys and all the girls are begging to if you seek Amy" Compare that phrase to the lyrical content of the song, talking about wearing 2 condoms, having sex with a girl unless she is too drunk to remember, a naked girl dancing in front of the guy, taking a joint, drinking all day and not paying attention to studying... I think the whole idea of the song, while can be fun to hear, is much against "good principles" and more harmful to kids than saying "if you seek Amy". I see what you're saying. I agree with you too, yet you got to realize this is a Hip-Hop/Rap song, if it doesn't have anything related to sex, drinking, etc its pretty much not Rap. Also Britney is strictly Pop to which most little girls listen to and is and has been a role model for almost a decade know and she knows it. Probably 100 times more people will look up to her than to this guy. About the song all I got to say is yes it is explicit, it is dumb, but I like it!

Love this song. You don't truly appreciate it unless you're actually in college and hear it at a party.

Well the song depicts what most college parties could be about, so it's straight to the point. It doesn't 'harm' the kids at all. It may even give the kids an idea how the college parties are like? LOL The thing with Britney's song is, no one expected the hidden meaning behind it, hence all the hoo-ha about it. In addition, Britney is a popular figure and this Asher dude is a nobody, so no one expects him to put up that role model image.

Believe me, if you walk into the dorms playing this, your four years will not be fun for you will be pigeon-holed as THAT guy.

College kids do not like this song. It is the high school kids that think they are cool who like this song.

Love this song. You don't truly appreciate it unless you're actually in college and hear it at a party. This song has nothing to do with college...It's about a party...The same stupid type of party you can have before or after college. I go to college, and it's nothing like that.

I mean every rap song has themes such as drinking, women, drugs, licking lollipops, sex, and violence. So who cares I think most rap is crap but this is kinda catchly so who cares.
I mean I don't hear anyone complaining that Lil Wayne says the b word in song, so get over it.
If you don't like it don't listen to it. Try to think a little positive.

Sure.... my main issue is that we are talking about "College". From what I know, many college kids are even underage for legally drinking, right? And my initial point was that people pulled their hair off for Britney's Amy and no buzz about this song promoting drinking, sex and drugs in college. Don't get it, but it may be just me. I don't listen to it, but we are in a music forum to discuss about songs :)

Aside from the old lady playing beer pong, the frat parties here at my school are almost exactly like the one shown in the video. I'm guessing you've never actually been to a frat party, though. Everything about this song blows. College kids do not like this song. It is the high school kids that think they are cool who like this song. Again, speak for yourself. I heard this song at 3 or 4 different parties over the weekend, and the crowd started cheering when it came on each time. The fact that you don't like it doesn't mean that EVERYONE in college hates it.

But every college is different and every student perceives college differently, especially in the United States.
I can see huge frat and sorority schools loving this one, but large schools that don't have much of a social organizational scene (or much of a party scene at all, and there are plenty) will find this song very out of place with what they see everyday. Those same students might also love listening to Pop radio. Some might even be totally confused by Asher's representation of college and may find the whole song to be a giant misnomer.
And anybody who has never had a college experience has to basically take Asher's word.
This has finally hit a general audience, so many people from all different colors, classes, and education levels will have very different opinions on the song.

A lot of college kids at this campus (Colorado State University) get into this song in large part because it's so stupid. When everyone knows something is a joke and you all knowingly laugh about it--that's funny. If someone actually took this song seriously--well--um--that'd be sad.

Yea no way it's a flop. It reached #12 on Hot 100, pretty damn good to start of your career.
