As long as it doesn't have a -200, I don't think they'll purge it. I could be wrong, but usually the spin loss is around -300 when it is purged. With a -95, it should be fine. At least for now. Also, with it still showing signs of increase, like today's bullet and AI gains, it should still stay.

Perhaps their performance on SYTYCD last week helped this song in Canada. It's the biggest mover on this week's Canadian Hot 100 chart reaching a new peak of #54 (from #85 last week).

Mmm, i think that they're going to wait at least another month for another single, if there's one. Hopefully it's HMU, or 4Ever again.

Seems so strange that they are still trying to break the US when they've been huge here for a good 4 years almost.

Seems so strange that they are still trying to break the US when they've been huge here for a good 4 years almost. Why is it strange? Because the have been huge in Australia and are already a solidified act they can experiment with overseas market. I' glad they did as I love their music and I think it's unique. To me they have already break the US and UK markets. They may not be a staple or anything… but they got their name around. When they come back with a new lead single I expect great things for them. I applaud their label for not giving up on their international career after the first try.

I think HMU & This Love will do well here, HMU is so mainstream that new electropop that everyone is into now and its about being stressed out which is why i identify with it. And This Love is so clear & crisp in its lyrics that you can easily sing along and get it stuck in your head in a great way.
On Untouched, the girls used their voices in a great way, try watching a live performance how one of them will jump in with the other and start singing a random line together its amazing collaboration. I think some songs are over the top with the voice, like 4ever is great, but the chorus is sooo high pitched, that won't win the US Market. And the US market is a huge variety of people, versus other countries like Aussie that only won 35,000 downloads per song. Untouched got over 1mill and it didnt even reach top 10! =] They'll do great.

Which by no means is impressive when you compare it to the US, but their local label would be ecstatic about that because obviously less money is used promoting the album. I still think the girls will get their big top 10 US track one day, but I don't think that will happen with Take Me on the Floor. And I disagree about your comment regarding 4ever being to variable for the US Market. Considering that Max Martin copied the same song for P!nk using different lyrics and went top 10, furthermore you could adopt the same argument to Untouched. Anyway the girls look like they've finally cracked Europe and Canada so they're going to be busy for a long time.

To 'win' downloads was just an expression and i was only pointing out that music is relatively easy elsewhere other than the US market, its pretty stern over here... and something that may have reached #1 over there may very well not reach that same point over here... And yes the comparison of P!nk's song is similar, yet she had a fanbase over here to begin with, so its different. And i havent really heard of any other songs that sound like Untouched, sorry.. TMOTF #96 on Itunes now...

The should release "Popular" eventually, take a risk. It's cocky and people would say "Who the hell do they think they are?!" but it's not. It's tongue-in-cheek so people should get a clue.

I heard The Veronicas were really quite horrible people in high school and that is from someone who went to school with them. maybe that person was jealous but it wouldnt surprise me at all based on interviews ive heard from them. yes, i understand australian sense of humor. It has nothing to do. its not tongue and cheek what im talking about. Im talking about stuck up.
Anyways, I liked 4ever and Untouched much better than this.

Met them at one of their shows and they seemed like very sweet down to earth girls. Can't say the same for all artists, so maybe they grew out of that phase. Were any of us that nice in high school?

I try not to let artists' personal lives get in the way of how I feel about the music. I may not like what they're doing, but if I like it, I'll still listen to it. I have no idea if Jess and Lisa were rude in high school. But, who wasn't/isn't? I'm in high school now, and I'll be the first to say that I'm not that nice, regretfully.

they were really nice to me when i met them at a concert they did with a bunch of other acts here. of course, it was a quick "oh hi, i'm a fan. thanks, bye!" sort of thing, but they were still very sweet.
