I strongly believe it would have been a hit if they sent out a censored version....

^I don't think so. If radio wanted to play a censored version they would have edited it themselves.

Lol, everyone is in doubts that the Veronicas would actually have a US tour and give up so easily after one flop. They have had four hits in Australia, which means all the work has been done for us, all they need to do to promote HMU or This Love is promo, and they're not writing a new album for some time so i'm sure they'll keep trying.
Whats funny to me is that whenever i'm on Itunes looking up HMU the album in terms of popularity 5 songs are always neck & neck, Popular, HMU, ICSA, RIS and GTY haha.

^I don't think popularity lines are always a good indicator of what should be a single. Sometimes they can be, but not always.
Also, they're touring with Kelly Clarkson this fall, meaning they will definitely have another single.

"Hook Me Up" better be the next single. The more I listed to it, the more I can hear it being played on the radio.

Hm you could compare The Veronicas to Paramore
Untouched=Misery Business Both peaked at #12 TMOTF=Crush Crush Crush= Both underperformed although I don't think the later made Top 50. This Love=Thats What You Get- The later made Top 20.
So if it follows this trend This Love is next. Personally I would pick HMU but This Love could do well.

It's officially over. Was purged today. I have to say this. The fact that this only got to #40 was pretty disappointing. We could blame a number of factors. No Z100 add, no edited version, or the fact that this was a bad single choice. The point is that this was pretty much doomed from that start. In my opinion, Hook Me Up should have been the second choice, and might have given them a second top 20 hit. Either Hook Me Up becomes a hit, or they're pretty much over in America.

Purged? booo. Anyways, Hook Me Up next please. This Love could be a good choice after a huge single, not TMOTF.

Theres many bands that keep releasing singles until they become strong, the Veronicas aren't going anywhere lol...

I'm sure it won't be long before they'll have another hit. They just happened to have bad luck this time around with this single.

I wish they could just release a bunch of singles all at once.
I'm really starting to believe I Cant Stay Away would be a good single choice. This Love a great choice obviously at some point, but HMU definitely needs a shot. #1 in Aussie, i mean comon, thats like what a garuntee shot @ #50 in the US? hahaha jk

^You can't compare that though. Hook Me Up was the lead single. Lead singles typically have a better shot at #1 than others.

I think we should all be happy that Untouched took off as it did. It is very rare to have continued success in USA with every song. I think them supporting Kelly Clarkson will increase their audience. We shouldn't get down over one song underachieving. Radio is very competitive and remember even P!nk re-released 2 singles off I'm Not Dead before they were no.1 hits. Its many things, timing I think is an important one.
Myself I would not mind either This Love or Hook Me Up. Don't know if US radio would warm to the latter. This Love is something I think sounds great on Radio and also shows a different sound from them.

Are they working on another album yet? I love The Veronicas, I'm just getting a little tired of Hook Me Up though. The Aussies haven't had new music from them in some time, right?

They're still trying to get Europe and of course the US on their side first. Yeah, it's been a while for Aussies. Hook Me Up came out in December 07 over there, didn't it? I really wouldn't expect new material out of them for at least another year.

I can't single them out. But one of these chicks has a really good voice, and the other one sounds like a 5 year old.
