Ga Ga Ga Ga was clearly their magnum opus, and this one is definitely undercooked, but that's what they were going for.
"Out Go The Lights" has quickly become one of my favorite Spoon songs of all time. I also really love "Goodnight Laura," and "Trouble Comes Running," even though the latter would have been a lot better if actually produced.

I like Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga but I don't know that I'd say it stands above all of that which came before it. Anyway, I am quite pleased with Transference. The songwriting is up to par and the tracks, for the most part, work together. "Nobody Gets Me but You" is a strong closer.

This project completely fell under my radar! They're a great band and I've really liked their past albums so I'm very eager to listen to this.

I listened to this album 3 times yesterday, which is a first for me. Usually, I listen to an album and move on, returning to it later. At first listen, the opening track left me somewhat cold because the last few albums have had very strong openers. However, I am completely in love now. This album is RIDICULOUS. It's also Spoon's weirdest album. When I first played it, I thought it was the weirdest album I had EVER heard by ANY artist. Now, it just sounds like another amazing Spoon album.

4) Spoon – Transference – 53,277 Nice opening week numbers. Pretty good indeed. First VW, then Spoon; it looks like the established indie acts are doing well, which is wonderful.

This album is INCREDIBLE. SUCH a grower tho. It can be maddeningly frustrating at times but it pays to stick with it.
