What an insane drop for this one. I see what you're saying, Noah, but this experienced a drop from +650 (and over +800 on the all-stations panel) to almost a negative bullet today in less than a week. And it has moved back up near +300 ever since! :) Sincerely, Noah Eaton

Bring on Syndicate!

I agree "Syndicate" would make the best third single among the remaining tracks, given it is the closest thing to up-tempo. That said, The Fray would benefit from having more up-tempo tracks, or perhaps some more muscle, on their third release. Despite the fact Slade said in interviews before the album's release that the rockier songs would be rockier and the softer songs softer compared to the debut album, I actually think the more edgier tracks sound more subdued this era. Sincerely, Noah Eaton

This isn't dead yet! I want Syndicate or Absolute when the time comes.

Why on earth would they do that? This is on it's way to top 10 and climbing up the H100. The label would be totally stupid to release a new single anytime soon.

This really has grown on me, and I'm glad, because I liked their first two singles off of their last album, but "You Found Me" really makes me want to commit suicide, I'd rather hear Mambo No.5 than that.

This is miles better than "You Found Me". I don't why "Never Say Never" wasn't released as the first single.

The era will die before it starts if they release this song first.

The era will die before it starts if they release this song first. Why? Look how well this is doing as a second single, I don't know why it wouldn't of done even better as a 1st. It was probably a bit smarter to go with something more uptempo first, but honestly this is the Fray so it's not like people wouldn't be expecting a ballad from them. I think this could have been just as big, if not bigger than YFM as a 1st single. It really didn't matter though, just as long as YFM and NSN were the first 2 singles, and they were.

They should release "Absolute" after this.

I love YFM more than this, but this is one of my favorites too. I originally wanted Absolute for the second single, but this is doing better than I thought it would. Whenever this decides to peak (hopefully in the top 5 ) they can release Absolute or Syndicate.

Yeah, Absolute or Syndicate would both work as the 3rd single. I personally prefer Absolute, but Syndicate would be fine too.

It took quite awhile for this song to catch on and the label & the band have to consider the album release too. They need to get the word out that The Fray is back with new material so they need to release something more instant. 'Never Say Never' is more of a grower. It would hinder the era's momentum if released first. The album came out 3 months after the first single, and if 'NSN' took more than that to reach Top 20, it would've affected the album sales. The album has sold over 600 000 copies worldwide with just one hit single, I would say it's pretty impressive in today's industry.

Absolute would make a great thrid single. Best choice imo.
I'm just a bit pissed at them for how they've handled the era in the UK. We didn't get a YFM video and NSN isn't doing anything. It has the right recipe to be a hit but they're just wasting the era :( Could have easily gone platinum here.

I highly doubt NSN would have taken any longer than YFM to become a hit if it was the 1st single. Generally speaking, 1st singles just move quicker. Anyway you slice it though, the band are slow risers. All their hits have taken a good amount of time to become hits.

You Found Me was definitely the best choice for the first single. This era is turning out very, very nicely. They should sell over platinum and get at least two hits.

^Could be, but I doubt it. Still think this will go top 10. Competition is getting too fierce for a top 10 berth for this song. Whatcha Say will likely take Waking Up In Vegas's top 10 spot. Then, Love Drunk and Obsessed will be fighting for top 10 spots vacated by Daughtry and Keri Hilson. By then, Papparazzi and Sweet Dreams will pass The Fray and push their way into the top 10 after Battlefield and Good Girls Gone Bad. After all that, The Fray will just hang out in the mid teens and then fall. I could see a #12 peak for this, if its lucky. But nothing more.
