I just saw the video and he looks so young and hot! :o
I don't like the lyrics but it's a really catchy song. And the video is amazing.

I bought his cd Encore and i still care about Em, but honestly i think this song is his worst first single.. I have no doubt that radio stations will play it like crazy because He is Eminem! but i don't see it as a world wide smash hit like 'Stan, without me' or The real slim shady.. :'( and i don't think this song is catchy enough. I heard it twice and i don't even remember the hook or the verses..But maybe it's a grower song. Anyway I wish Eminem the best.. :)

LMAO at the vid and song lyrics, but they both do seem dated though. I definitely don't think this can be a big pop hit. It's nowhere near as catchy as Without Me or Just Lose It or even Crack a Bottle for that matter, which was certainly no pop smash. Who's the girl singing the hook? I REALLY don't like her voice whoever it is, and it's just such a weak hook. That's the biggest problem with the song, imo. So, I just heard this ish on DC's Hot99.5 for the first time a few minutes ago. My first impression is: Typical Eminem! OF course, I didn't get any of the lyrics at first listen, so I am commenting only on the music/production. It is underwhelming for me. I thought Crack a Bottle was the 'novelty hit'. 2 novelties in a row seems like a BAD move to me. I liked CAB more in terms of song structure, hook, etc. On first listen, this is annoying. And for me, not the chorus which give it a hook, but I think he is rapping the verses in a more annyoying way than his other novelties. I don't know, I feel them more strongly pronounced or with a different tone... or maybe it's just too much time since the last time I heard Without Me or Just Lose It The music is fine, though, I like it, so that works for me. But overall I think it's not as 'strong' track as CAB. Now, I'm seriously waiting for the next single, which should be KILLER one to overcome these two first singles. I will have to check the video later. I heard there was a big fuzz on a Palin's reference.

you're shocked that a song with Dido did that well? That chorus is one of the catchiest things to send to radio. its not shocking at all. LOL not at all. A 20 second sample does not over power the 5 minutes of darkness Back at that time, I was appalled at how the song underperformed in the US. I think it didn't even reach the Top 50 in the Hot100!! It was a BIG hit in Peru, one of the Top songs of the year, the video was AWESOME, strong, poignant, relevant. It was also a #1 in the UK... but in US The Real Slim Shady was THE hit

ROTFL at people calling this the first single. it is hun ??? Not again!! We dealt with that issue before. It's the SECOND overall single of this era for Eminem (although we can agree that this is his 'first' solo, non-duet effort)

CAB is confirmed to be on Relapse, therefore this is his 2nd single. End of discussion.

LOL, I can understand "heater" tracks, but "Crack a Bottle" hit #1 on the Hot 100.

The same situation happened with the Black Eyed Peas. "Shut Up" charted, but was never officially released. Actually, I think the same situation happened to Eminem again with "Like Toy Soliders".

No, I believe you're thinking of "Encore", not "Like Toy Soldier".

CAB is confirmed to be on Relapse, therefore this is his 2nd single. End of discussion. By that logic, 'Keep Holding On' was the first single from Avril Lavigne's The Best Damn Thing, 'Reflection' was the first single from Christina Aguilera's debut, 'Get Up' was the first single from Ciara's The Evolution, 'Play With Fire' was the first single from Hilary Duff's Dignity, and so on...When a song that was previously released as a single ends up on an album down the road, it doesn't always automatically become that album's first single.

Those were all soundtrack cuts originally, though. "Crack A Bottle" was being referred to as the first single from Relapse from the very beginning. LOL, I can understand "heater" tracks, but "Crack a Bottle" hit #1 on the Hot 100. I think that should be the last word on the subject. lol

I first heard this today... HATED it. In the video it looked he was re-hashing stuff, in a mutton dressed as lamb kind of way. Not impressed.

This is the first single. It does not matter if it hit #1 or not. It still was not the lead single from this project. I guess in a sense it could be mistaken that way, but it is really not. :) - 45 EMINEM We Made You 661 - 661 3.649
