This is the first single. It does not matter if it hit #1 or not. It still was not the lead single from this project. I guess in a sense it could be mistaken that way, but it is really not. :) I'd be interested what your definition of 'single' is if "Crack A Bottle" doesn't fit it.

"We Made You" is the first official single from this era. I even read an article confirming that. "Crack A Bottle" was in fact a heater, and it hit #1 on the Hot 100 due to the anticipation for Relapse "Crack A Bottle" also never officially went for adds and it didn't even have a video. It wasn't promoted at all.

Just heard this song for the first time. I can't believe how bad this is and that it could seriously get released. But I guess some people will buy anything. Good lord.

It's a shame people can't just dislike a song they have to bash the people who do. Classic Eminem and I love the hiphop-So What chorus. Hope it goes top 10.

Yeah, I like this as well. Nothing amazing, like some would expect from Eminem's highly anticipated comeback, yet quite solid.
The video helps this a lot, though. I'm not sure if I would like it as much as I do right now if I hear the song first without watching the video.

ComebacK? First single? Anticipation? Let me check... NO! I'm not in the "Crack A Bottle" thread, then why am I reading this?! Well, this is the first VIDEO in a while, yes, I get it, but in terms of song, we just heard CAB so THAT was the comeback. So, I suppose Wall To Wall was not the first single, neither Never Ever nor Energy. In the case of Soundtrack Singles, since they ARE released as part of other projects, they are a bit of different species. I usually consider them as part of an "Era" though. So, Reflection IMO is part of the Christina Aguilera Era, as well as "Die Another Day" is part of the American Life era, but I know many people disagree with me.

This is mindless dreck. I thought "Just Lose It" was unlistenable, and the only reason I don't necessarily consider "We Made You" worse is because, unlike that song, this one is also painfully boring.
I'm sure this will be a hit, but ugh. Terrible.

Just saw an article that said the label is expecting as of this week, the album to sell 600-750,000 first week.

Just saw an article that said the label is expecting as of this week, the album to sell 600-750,000 first week. That seems reasonable, given that it would be Em's lowest 7-day opening by a mile (not counting debut), yet stellar in today's market.

Well before CAB was released his label called it a burner track and "not" the first single. So regardless if it was #1, I guess technically it isn;t. And you can't compare it with songs that flopped so that artists just call them "heater tracks" since CAB was a sucess, but from the beginning it was called a "heater".
Regardless who the frig cares, I could see if CAB flopped why people would be outraged that CAB isn't considered the 1st single, but since it was a friggin #1! Why bother? If the record company call's We made you the first single then it's the first single. CAB might not even be on the album as far as we know so it wouldnt count as a first single from relapse.

Didn't he have an album come out a few years back that only sold like 400k the first week.

If this turns out to be a real hit (not just a digital one like CAB), then I think the album could do 800-900k the first week, all things considered. I really think the album will do about 50% of it's total sales in the first week though.

They could of said CAB was the first single since it hit #1 but they obviously didn't because they probably have everything planned out.

^I think it could definitely be #1 on the H100, look how CAB got there with very little airplay. No way it will be #1 on CHR though, imo. #8 is the absolute highest I could see it going on CHR, and my guess is #12.

Would love for this to go #1 on Hot 100! I guess we will have to wait to see if it will go #1 on Itunes before we make predictions.
