I don't like the single cover.

that is the least of this song's worries. its only hope is on pop because no self respecting, knowledgeable fan of rap/hip hop would give any credit to this garbage. This is for that generation of people who think listening to music like this will make them somehow more urban and rap oriented.

This song sucks. Eminem was interesting and relevant 8-10 years ago, but not anymore IMO. The American Sheeple will probably continue to eat this crap up because it's Eminem, but seriously, skewering celebrities again? Try something new. It's old and stupid at this point. And on top of everything else, it sounds dated too.

You people are crazy lol. THIS IS WHAT HE ALWAYS DOES. Why does no one seem to get that? you are just sounding stupid by complaining. Sometimes, he comes with something that means something. Sometimes, he sounds like he's in the game for a reason. Sometimes, he shuts everyone up by coming with a "Lose Yourself" or something to that degree which is just undeniable. Then other times, he does shit like this, and it's kind of sad, because it really makes it seem like he's just completely lost it and tarnishes what could, on the whole, be a good legacy.

That's the problem. It's old and tired at this point. If you enjoy listening to him mock a new round of celebrities, then good for you. I think a lot of people here think it's stupid at this point. And to the other poster, he should try to make something MUSICALLY relevant. For some reason I'll never understand, people will still continue to buy crap like this because it is Eminem, but they should save a buck or two and go listen to one of his old songs instead.

Once again, you are proving my point. "Lose Yourself" first of all was FROM A MOVIE. and 2nd of all: THESE SINGLES COME FIRST. Dear God I'm getting sick of having to explain this. If you want your "serious" Eminem then wait 2 more months

as i stated, he is not in the game anymore. he makes rap for pop listeners. he is what is wrong with rap. having to wait until the second single is what makes him a complete joke. Crack a Bottle going to #1 does not somehow validate his success and make him relevant. there were other artists on the track. coming from people laboring over the fact this is his first single of the era, i didnt know that would be used.
with that said, he actually asked Amy Winehouse to be on a song and do what Dido did on Stan. Fortunately she rejected him.
and if you are tired of explaining the same thing over and over again, then simply stop because people clearly do not agree with you and you are not his spokesperson even though you would love to be

Eminem has been tired for a while, why is this a surprise? His album before this one was just as tired as I'm sure this one will be.
As for you guys saying why complain? Maybe because Eminem seems to get a free pass in hip hop/RAP circles simply because he CAN rap, even though it is clear that he has become the poser that all his critics claimed he was in the beginning. I can understand someone losing their drive when they make it that big, particularly if their creative driving force was brought on by tough circumstances. But then recognize that and stay in the producing arena. This is sad with a capital S.

I totally disagree. And the reason he has to keep explaining the same comment is because people apparently don't understand or are just not reading. This is the music business. See that word? BUSINESS. It is about making money and commercial success. Eminem gets that with his first singles, which are fun, not serious. He then plays off of that for the rest of the hits from the album, which will be more serious and hard-hitting. Why isn't there room for both types of Eminem songs? I really enjoy both and I think a lot of other people do too.

He can be fun and he is serious. "Crack A Bottle" was a diss track to all the "ringtone" rappers. And where did he ask Winehouse to be on a song? I didn't hear about that.

Oh, and saying 50 Cent and Dr. Dre helped...not really. 50 Cent is not even popular anymore. And Dr. Dre has not released anything in years besides a few guest spots.

Itunes hasn't updated in awhile so I doubt it is really 217 after a full day. They occasionally go a day or so without any updates so any positions are frozen. The next update will probably be huge and show a huge jump.
