i should be twittering really shouldn't i? but i'm a bit behind the times, and unlike the old man, who is always at least half an hour ahead of me, technologically speaking, i am still operating within the quaint and cobbled streets of myspace.
anyway, if i was twittering i would be able to impress you with immediacy and newsworthiness of the fact that i am actually in the recording studio RIGHT NOW, yes right at this very minute, doing what is almost the very last bit of recording for this record. Pearson is over there in the corner, doing a Chris Lowe impression and playing a deceptively simple part on the Farfisa organ with a deadpan expression on his face - I'm paying full attention, of course, and am not at all distracted by writing a blog. Yesterday we had Al from Hot Chip in to play a little bit more bass and guitar, and in the afternoon a nice woman called Pamela came and played recorders. Later I'm doing a bit more singing, and then playing the stylophone, and then eating some cake. and then it will be nearly finished. apart from the mixing of course.
it's starting to feel a bit springy outside. got my tomato seeds in the propagator. i'm reading "an american tragedy" by theodore dreiser, which has a really good beginning, then a slightly slow 400 pages or so, and then gets going again around page 500 - which kind of proves you have to stick with things sometimes.
apart from that, been going to the movies a lot, haaaated slumdog millionaire, loooved milk, and liked the wrestler, looking forward to seeing the class.
enough. pearson has done with his farfisa, so we need to move on! more soon.....xx

Well, she may be a seasoned veteran, and not a young'n like many of the divas we love today. But damn, Out of the Woods was really good!
