Dream's biggest hit ever! They better not screw up the video or promotion.

I've been playing this frequently this week. It's about that time.
Why does Def Jam have to screw up with the second singles?

I agree, this will be his biggest hit yet on pop. Personally, I'm really glad ML flopped, it was just so generic it wasn't even enjoyable. I don't think I could've standed hearing that all the time on the radio. I still think RTT could've done decently on CHR if they had sent it instead of ML, but at least it was big Urban hit.

I love this song. I don't know how it will do, but I'd love for it to blow up.

This is starting to move a bit:
4/30/2009: 4.334 AI/416 spins
Pop: 72 Alternative: 1 Urban: 156 Urban AC: 14 Rhythmic: 173
I just hope the "Rockin' That Thang" vs. "My Love" mess won't hurt this too much.

Not sure why everyone thinks this will be big. Dream has never even made it inside of the top 10 on the Hot 100. I see this doing the best on Rhythmic and moderately well on Urban. But a CHR smash?
I doubt it.

I wish he didn't have like three singles getting 200 spins at Pop and they would just pick one of the singles. Jeremih is like embarrassing him right now, it just doesn't make sense, that song is more Urban than every single The-Dream has released this era. I guess image really does matter.

I think its more on the line that Pop PDs feel The Dream has been promoted as an Urban artist for so many singles now that they won't take chances with him. If they promoted more of the Love/Hate singles to Pop, these Love vs. Money tracks might have had better success on this format by now. But the label has pushed him nowhere hard but Urban and Rhythmic. The Dream also doesn't have much of a mainstream audience yet to just simply crossover and have success (singing a Gym Class Heroes hook won't cut it).
Jeremih is a new artist with a hot song that immediately went for adds here at Pop. He's also being pushed hard by the label. CHR is craving new artists at the moment as well. That's the only reason he's getting attention.
