Yeah meant CHRs owned by Cumulus - they all played Little Wonders (exclusively), and I think accounted for somethin like 85% of its airplay (or higher), and most play tons of Rob Thomas/Matchbox 20 recurrents/gold tracks...only reason it would matter IMO is that if mostly Cumulus stations are on this new RT single, it could have a strong start but then start maxin out really quickly - but sounds like a bunch of CC stations are on it so hopin that's a good sign... :) Heard this today and really liked it...only thing is it's completely based around a metaphor which IMO might not catch on with people - tears really don't seem like diamonds to me (just can't see the connection I guess except for the shape lol), and that's kinda the core of the song Regarding the diamonds metaphor: I remember Rob talking about the line in Bright Lights "I have a scar I can talk about". He said that it meant that he had a lost love that caused a major scar to his soul when she left. That that scar was worth his time to talk about, unlike others who might have left but weren't worth his time. I take that same thing from "Her Diamonds". Like her tears are so precious to him (just like his love for her) that he calls the tears "diamonds". That's just my take on it. Oh I get it now (from his point of view )...guess I was kinda confused though cause tears and diamonds have complete opposite emotional responses IMO

Rob posted on twitter today that it looks like he'll be taking One Republic out on tour with him in September. I'm not a big fan of the band or Ryan Tedder but I guess I'll survive. :) Does "Her Diamonds" have an official adds date on Pop yet? The physical single will be released exclusively at Best Buy on May 10th. My guess is that it goes to digital outlets that day, too.

One Republic? Oookay. Maybe they'll actually impress me when I see them live. We'll see.

My guess is over time this move by some CC channels will definitely affect the HotAC cross-over artists more than others.

^Yeah thinkin if this Clear Channel thing gets cleared up (with all stations, not just the 16-hr day ones), Rob Thomas could peak in the low 20s...if those 20+ stations are left with monitored rhythmic programming overnight, thinkin it might be a peak in the 30s
With Matt Nathanson, it's gonna be a case of peakin around #20 vs. peakin in the teens I think
And with Shinedown, it's gonna be a case of peakin around #9 vs. peakin around #5

Question: would a cool video help this song on Pop? Just wondering what the benefits of doing videos are anymore for Hot AC artists. And if a video is considered "cool" does that help a song on pop radio, Hot AC radio?

Question: would a cool video help this song on Pop? I think only if MTV added it...the VH1 countdown doesn't seem to make a difference even on Hot AC, never mind CHR Really don't think the lyrics of this song are gonna work with teens anyway - IMO callout's gonna be great on adult-leaning CHRs, and some mainstream CHRs will play it durin the day, but it's def. gonna have a "cap" on its spins I think

I'm really hoping this can at least make the top 40 - looks like it'll be #46 tonight when "Candle" and "Turnin' Me On" are purged.
By the way, I got the Best Buy single today. I miss CD singles. :( Haha. I'm really looking forward to the new CD, it should be great.

^Yeah def. thinkin this'll make it into the 30s CHR, and if it hits #1 Hot AC (which looks like it's gonna happen pretty soon) it could make it into the 20s

I just pre-ordered the album at Best Buy for $9.99. With the pre-order, you get the single for free. The single has Her Diamonds and Overrun on it. And free shipping too. Good deal! Here's the link. Glad I read the fine print cuz I almost bought the album without choosing the free single too. Then went back and realized I had to add both the album and the single to the cart before I checked out. Whew! www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?&id=pcmcat181500050019&type=category

This song isn't all that pop friendly, and I don't think Rob is that big of a seller, but I'd love if it got to those peaks on the H100 and CHR. Here's my predictions: #24 CHR #3 HAC #5 AC #18 Hot 100 Cradlesong-#1 BB200, 125-150k

.... for "Cradlesong": #1 BB200 with ~300-350k ...Something To Be debuted at #1 with 252k, I'm pretty sure that given it's been 4 years since his last release and the downfall of album sales, it'll definitely be less than 150k. Although, Rob has a fair amount of fans, so you never know.
