lmao that's emberassing but still more than I thought it'd be. Turkish albums would sell up to 3m in early 90s as far as I know. But we have no single market and no major, official download outlet, only a few grand music markets sell the international albums... so i bet illegal downloads are like 100 times that amount if not higher xD. (Population is around 75m)

thanks for the info, last link to the newspaper doesn't work though and could you get the information of best selling national albums in Turkey please? ( I heard Tarkan's an album sold like 4m and Coşkun Sabah's one 2.5m but didn't come across any official figures )

Yeah, you're right, Tarkan's "Ölürüm Sana" is one of the best selling albums in Turkey with 3m copies sold and probably 4m worldwide. (source:http://tarkandocumentary.blogspot.com/) I think the best-selling album is one from Ibrahim Tatlises.
