Is this the Twilight Zone? The song is doing well on the radio but not in sales? Weird.

Well, obviously, they're not as popular as they were a year ago. I mean, their new single is dropping like a hot potato. But people hate on them way too much. Like, I just wanted to check out the Burnin Up video, and all the comments, are like hate spam. Like GAY GAY GAY, and talking about how they suck, and how they're terrible musicians. I mean, seriously. They're justs kids. And it's not like their target audience are adults. Their music is targeted at yound girls. And it's not like they're foring anyone to listen. Damn, these sort of h@trs piss me off. >:( And I'm not even a JB fan! People take them way too seriously. They're just teens making music for teens/kids. If you don't want to listen then don't. But thats not just with them, for me its with any artist. I just don't understand hating on any artist, is it really that serious. I think its sad, if I really dislike an artist why would I even click on their video or anything associated with them. I believe that most people get stupid when they get on the Internet. I kind of have to believe that it's only an Internet thing so I don't lose faith in humanity. With lots of love comes tons of hate. The JoBros couldn't avoid this even if they did everything perfectly, and catered to every fan, and said all the right things in interviews, and made only awesome music and videos. There would still be hating. People (in America especially, and I'm American so yeah lol) love to put their celebs on pedestals and then knock them off. It's a sport.

I am utterly stunned. I thought they would still be in the top 10 by now, but they're completely out of the top 100?
The clock is ticking, folks.

Ever thought that its not THEM but the song? Just because they have fans doesn't mean it'll be a hit. Maybe people just don't like the song.

I think the TV show was a bad move. I've watched some of their interviews, and they're not particularly funny, or even as cozy, or huggy as you would expect siblings to be. And they're supposed to be musicians, right? It just like further engraved them with the disney machine. And now, nobody's even watching the damn show!
Nick Jonas is a very talented prodigy. The other two (especially Joe Shmo) are seriously dead weight. Nick is above all this, I think. He doesn't need a fuckin TV show.

Nick's voice is ruined, hes no longer the talented singer and songwriter he once was, now just songwriter. he has no future in singing, is tone is too horrible on the ear now. the problem with all this is they signed on for that TV show before the best of both worlds tour they did with miley. that tour made them the superstars that they are and now they're stuck in something they wouldn't have agreed if not for the fact at the time they were looking for any possbile way to live ther dreams.

Really? So they signed on for the show over a year ago? There must be a way for Nick to become better at singing, he's not great nor he ever was but he had a decent voice, singing lessons will do him good right? I don't think any of the 3 are taking singing lessons are they?

they signed on for it in 2007. the orginal plot was thrown out, it was suppose to be something like Hannah Montana, like with them having a double life. but yeah, thats the thing with this they signed on before they blew up and now they have to do the show.
theres a way for his technique to get better but I don't know if the damage can be reversed, if it can he'd have to take a long break which disney is never going to let happen. Their dad is their vocal coach, but I'm not sure if hes qualified to be doing that. Joe's and Kevin's voices are fine though, its only nicks that has been damaged. Thats because he wasn't signing properly and was touring while his voice was changing. Nick will always have a career writing songs IMO though.

Their voices might be in good shape, but great singers they're not. If something can be done with Nick, I know he will have a decent career in the future, but not the way he's singing right now... I keep seeing he is a great songwriter, what songs has he written?

hes written all of the Jonas Brothers songs. his brothers cowrite some of them but Nick is the one behind all of them. all the disney acts, well the main three(miley, jbs, demi) write there music, Nick's the best though.
Keving and joe's voices are in good shape but your right they're not good singers. I think that Joe's tone is more pleasing to hear then Nick's but thats because of the damage to Nick's voice. the thing is until he is willing to see that his father should not be his vocal coach nothing is going to be done with Nick because Nick seems to think that he knows what hes doing.

You are making him out to be more of a song writer than he is. The only single that Nick wrote solo was "SOS" -- all the others he co-wrote with the other two brothers: Hold On, When You Look Me In The Eyes (+2 others), Burnin Up, Lovebug, Tonight (+1 other person), Paranoid. And Joe Jonas has better vocals than the Nick kid. Much better. The only time the Nick dude had good vocals was before his voice changed.

Nick writes them all in general, his brothers cowrite but nick is the main songwriter. He ALBL by himself. Look at some of the tracks that aren't released, they're better then some of the single. disney has a habit of not releasing the albums best tracks.
and yeah I think Joe's vocals are better. I think hes the only one who stands a solo singing career.

I can't go by their non-singles though-- they aren't promoting anything. Their singles don't perform well outside of rapid fans buying them just because it says Jonas Brothers on it, IMO, and things like "SOS" while I did enjoy, I don't think they are anything groundbreaking lyricwise.
I just don't think we can make him out to be some superstar songwriter until he writes some viable hits is all.
Not trying to Jonas hate (I think HOLD ON is kick ass) but just being realistic.

You know, there may be another explanation for why Paranoid isn't doing that well sales-wise. Remember, their audience is fairly young and it's *so* easy to get an illegal copy of this song. I wouldn't be surprised if they're not much caring about sales or ranking or charts.
I think I'm going to reserve judgment on their career until their album comes out. Then we'll see how that does sales-wise. Because a lot of their fans won't think about grabbing a single song illegally, but will want to actually buy the physical album.

the thing is they had four staight singles debut a top of the digital chart not even a year ago. they never download JB songs illegally before. They share a fanbase with miley and the Climb is aheaded towards 2 million copies sold. Their fans do buy the singles, or at least they use to. I agree with Album is gonna be a good judge though

The album could also benefit from moms just buying it thinking their kid will want it.

I think the Jonases are s**t for the most part, but "A Little Bit Longer" is a brilliant song, lyrically.
