The thing is that radio djs were already aware of its existance since 2007 so they might not play it because it's not new. But it's not like it was offiically released and now it gets a second chance so it might smash as easily as it might underperform, becaue it won't flop meaning that it will at least crack the top 30..

I could see this doing similar to Amy a barely top ten hit. I am seeing anything from #9-#15 for this. Well, hopefully you are wrong like you were from IUSA and this would be more successful...I hope it catches on at radio.

This was coming for a long time: putting it on Circus and then being the only Circus song other than Womanizer, Circus, and If U Seek Amy, performed on tour. That's what I (along with some others) had been saying, but the fans were saying it was only put on the album for contractual reasons and that it wasn't going to be released. I (along with others) said it again when it was the only other song she performed on tour from the album, but again they denied. lol It seemed so obvious. I know if the tour setlist was not any indiciation, I don't know what would be.

If a song is good, DJ's will play it regardless. That's not even an argument. Proof:
Pink- "I'm Not Dead" era Stupid Girls was the 1st single, then they tried putting out "Who Knew".. and it flopped.. HARD. Didn't even chart on the Hot 100 in the US. Then they put out "U + Ur Hand" as the 3rd single and that took off and went #1. THEN they released "Who Knew" as a single again, and went #1 on Top 40.
Moral of the story: don't discount Radar. ;)

I'm actually excited to see how this song will perform. It really has smash written all over it but the odds work against it.

Well...I love Radar and wanted it as single during Blackout era, but I wanted UY or OFU as the 4th single...but Radar is catchy and a great song, I hope it does well ;)

You know what trolling means right? Coming in the thread just to quote people and change their smash quotes to flops is trolling.

How can you say a song is a flop before its even released... obviously you just think your opinion is fact.. and you doubted If U Seek Amy all along and said its "flopping" its Top 10 on pop radio, flop my ass. Your in denial buddy. ;)

"Radar" should do well on the charts. U britney fans don't want it to be released just because its "old". Who the f*** cares?!? Also 2.4 million people do NOT have "Radar". Only 1.5 million. The same fans that bought that hideous Blackout CD cover are the same ones who bought Circus CD.
This is a bonafide Top 5 Smash on Pop Radio.

Radar is perfect. It needed to be a single. its just to good for it not to be. i think thats the reason it was put on Circus.

I voted for this to be the next single, so I have to say that I'm excited I love the idea of another Blackout single being released... I also find it cool how this was supposed to go for adds June of last year, and it should be going for adds June of this year.

Terrible choice. I was against it being released during the Blackout era, and I'm even more opposed to it now. IMO, this is easily going to be her worst-performing single from Circus. I don't think it's going to do all that well on the radio (I'm predicting a peak similar to that of 'GM' and 'BTI') and, considering over 2 million people already own it, its digital sales are going to be poor. It'll be lucky to make the top 30 on the Hot 100.
I really hope I'm wrong, though, and it ends up being a huge summer hit.

Also 2.4 million people do NOT have "Radar". Only 1.5 million. Uh, 2.4 million people DO own it. Blackout sold just under a million copies here, and Circus's sales currently stand around 1.5 million. Add those numbers up and you get about 2.4 million.

How could it have been the "same damn fans" when Blackout sold about 950k and Circus has sold 1.5 million? Do you know how to add and subject? If only her hardcore fans bought her albums, Circus would have sold about the same amount as Blackout, not more.

I wouldn't say 2.4 million. At least 40% of the people who bought Blackout also bought Circus. Still, i wouldn't say this is a secured top 5 hit (people said the same with IUSA). Let's wait and we'll see how this does.

Chances are it was mostly MAJOR fans who bought Blackout, as it didn't have any major radio hits, and then the majority of the people who bought Blackout brought Circus.

Maybe not 2.4 million, but when you subtract Blackout's sales from those of Circus, you still end up with 550k other people on top of the hardcore fans that bought both albums.
