How's that supposed to help your argument? Hey There Delilah was their ONLY hit on CHR. Britney's had 3 off of her current album and now they're going with a track from the previous one that's a "bonus track" here.

I'm just saying- I don't think it makes a difference whether or not the artist is established. Radar will do just fine regardless. It was never actually sent out to stations, only announced for adds and then pulled back. If the public likes it, it'll get played.

This will probably have a familiar chart run as POM.

This was the best choice and most likely the last single. It's like they picked the best songs for the album then filled the rest up with filler probly why she doesnt perform any Circus songs. I think they'll move on the the next album after this.

I think they'll move on the the next album after this. I wouldn't call the rest of Circus filler, but I would say that they have picked the most radio-friendly tracks as singles. I think Jive is doing a GREAT job with this era. Radar is the perfect summer song. I just hope they follow this with a ballad -either UY or OFU- to close the era. If one of those songs don't get released, I think it is safe to assume that Britney does not identify with them at all and they were just put on the album to slow things down at certain points. If that is the case I hope we get a single-worthy ballad that Britney herself wrote next album, a la everytime. In the mean time, I can't wait to watch radar fly up the charts! :)

OBVIOUSLY, there was a contract agreement with Bloodyshy+crew that this had to be a single (it was already confirmed along time ago), but i guess releasing it as a radio promo to other countries and having it on Circus didnt cut it, so now it has to be released...

I think this is more or less a good choice as far as radio goes. The only radio friendly songs left off of Circus were this, Mannequin and Out From Under. So I am glad one of those got released.

I'm confident this is going to be fairly huge. :) I'd say it's 50/50 if this will go top 10, will depend if she has enough momentum this era or not.

If this doesn't do that well, some of that will be because of the momentum lost by Amy too.

Agreed. I don't really want to wish Brit failure after this era's been doing so well, but I hope this bombs so all parties involved will find out the hard way what a mistake this is.

This was one of the better single choices. There were only two other songs off of Circus that could have been successful.

I think some people are overreacting too much over this single choice.
Worst case scenario it'll be a moderate hit. I don't think there's any other song on "Circus" that can be as big as "Womanizer" or "Circus".
The album has sold well to this day. Brit's had two massive hits and one moderate hit off of "Circus" already. Pretty successful run if you ask me.
As much as I love, once again I will stress LOVE, "Unusual You", I don't think it would have performed well on radio during the Summer months. If it were to be released it would make more sense to release it during the Fall/Winter months. During the Summer people love to listen to more upbeat dance songs.
Anyways, I think Brit will be re-releasing the album for the fall. I think they're just taking a chance at releasing this older track from "Blackout" and see how it runs its course.
I believe they will come back with a new killer single come this fall for the Re-Release of "Circus".
So my advice is for all of us to calm down a bit. Bitching about it really won't accomplish much. "Radar" is confirmed. Weren't we all expecting this since it was re-issued on "Circus"? I don't know why some of you are surprised its being released.

Love this song, specially after seeing the performance on the tour (one of my favourites). Britney can't go wrong with a Bloodshy and Avant song. Hopefully it'll be a hit and the video will be good

Do you guys see how annoying you are????
All I see in six pages already "This is such a bad move", "They shoulda released this or that"
Honestly who the f*ck cares. Radar is obviously a good song.
Shes had 3 succesful singles already. Who cares if this flops. Now you can all shut up and say finally this was a single.
And who cares if this is an old song! You saw how well it did in Europe on airplay without any add dates. If it gets add dates it'll explode there.
I also love how you guys are saying "next she'll release an In The Zone b-side." This is the first time she is doing this. Actuall the first time an artist is.

This is great that it's being released, it totally deserves it after how it got jipped during BO. Not the order I would have released it in, but oh well, with the way ballads are doing on CHR these days, it may be smart that they're keeping it uptempo. And this will be a hit, whether the h8ers want it to be or not.

I think it will be a moderate hit atleast (this will go top 15) with 30-50% chance of it going top 10.

Yes!! The 4th Blackout single we never had! I'm happy it's being released although I must say I would have been happier with "Unusual You". I'm just happy it is NOT "Out From Under".... that song is just so generic and blah. "Everytime" it is not. Not even close. Hopefully next album she will have a slightly darker ballad that she can actually release as a single because I do agree that another ballad release would be nice from her eventually.
