This is great that it's being released, it totally deserves it after how it got jipped during BO. Not the order I would have released it in, but oh well, with the way ballads are doing on CHR these days, it may be smart that they're keeping it uptempo. And this will be a hit, whether the h8ers want it to be or not. I am interested in where you think this will peak. I don't think it will flop by an means. I think it will be a moderate hit atleast (this will go top 15) with 30-50% chance of it going top 10. I'll guess a #6 peak for now, though I think it has the potential to do even better.

I don't think this will do better then Amy personally. But I do think it will do reasonably well. Better then most of her fourth singles.

lmao. for some reason, when i saw this thread earlier today, i died laughing. probably because for the last few days in the IUSA thread, everyone was talking about UY or OFU being the next single, and then this just comes along. lmao.

Does anyone have the quick cut link for "Radar"?

The fans really do need to just chill out. Think of this as Jive trying to correct their mistakes of not releasing #1 smashes from her previous albums. BORN TO MAKE U HAPPY, BREATHE ON ME, and RADAR were all song that should have been released to become her super hits.
RADAR is getting a chance to shine. LOL @ everyone being suprised. 1) It was included on the CD 2) Other than her 3 singles from the tour, it was only other CIRCUS track performed 3) Its another Bloodshy/Avant production who gave her most critically-acclaimed hits TOXIC and PIECE OF ME

But no one wanted to listen...

I can't believe this thread is 7 pages long already. This reminds me of the "Hot As Ice" drama when it was rumored that would be a single and people were freaking out.

I actually think this could do just as well or even better than Amy. I know that the controvery around Amy was supposed to be a good thing, but I think in the long run it hurt it, and I also think that IS the reason why 3 stations haven't added it yet. Some have been very hesitant to play this even with the radio edit, because after the news reports parents knew what she was intending to say.
I say this will at least outperform all of Blackout's singles :)

Will miss the top 50.
The only reason why it's a single is because Jive have a contractual agreement to release 2 Bloodshy and Avant songs off Blackout.

Or it's a single because its the best single choice left on Circus?
And LOLLLZ at the Bloodshy/Avant accusation. Wouldn't they just as likely want UY released? Why would it just have to be Radar?

I initially thought this was an awful single choice, but I'm over that now. Her performance of this on the tour is HOT, and I'm beginning to think this might work as a summer single. The production is red hot, and the verses are damn catchy. The chorus is too repetitive, but it does grow on you later on and you don't find yourself annoyed with it anymore but love it more (just like Womanizer's chorus). "Radar" really IS Toxic's daughter and Womanizer's mother. lol
I mean, yeah it sucks they're releasing an old track from the last album, but the song is FIYAH! and radio-friendly, so Jive believes in it as the summer single. It could work. We'll see.

It's like THE perfect song to blast on your stereo as you drive with the windows rolled down. I can't wait for a red hot dance sequence in the video!

Actually, because of AMY underperforming is the REASON WHY Radar is being released now. The song was the back-up hit just in case something didn't hit like it was suppose too (::cough:: Miss Amy)
If AMY was #1, Jive probably would have released one of the more riskier tracks like Mannequin or Unusual Me...I mean, You. Oh well. At least our girl will be on radio ALL SUMMER LONG

Well Radar was put on Blackout and Circus, so it HAD to be release. Or else it would make no sense.

It's far too Euro sounding for American radio.

I'm not happy with this choice AT ALL, but I hope it's a hit. That way, we can get a 5th single. Pretty please, Jive, release OFU? For me???

It's far too Euro sounding for American radio. Annoying how people keep using that excuse as to how electro influenced songs might not do well. Some people must have missed the memo but that sound is totally in at the moment. Just look at GaGa.

It's far too Euro sounding for American radio. Lady Gaga and her monster airplay (and downloads) would beg to differ.
